I did think Iowa would play with energy but thought Michigan was too good for us to keep it close. Now it's feeling a little like when Iowa upset Penn State in 2008. Still think Michigan pulls away. Iowa Penn State is the exact scenario I was thinking about before this game as a worst case scenario for this game. That said that Iowa team was better than this one. Michigan has a great D but when they struggle it's against the run and Iowa has taken advantage of that tonight. Plus Michigan making a ton of dumb mistakes

Seriously though how great is technology? When I was in high school in the late 90s, once you saw a game and the sportscenter highlights the next day, you would pretty much never see it again. Now I can quickly queue up a video of every Cubs home run in an entire season spliced together seamlessly.

I always found it funny that several of the streets around Wrigley had the same names as current/former Cubs. Obviously there's Clark Street (Mark Clark or Dave Clark but that's a stretch), Addison (Russell), (Mark) Grace, (Corey) Patterson, (Trevor) Clifton, Wellington (Castillo). It's too bad Gary Sheffield was never a Cub.

Meh. I don't mind them going into the season without one. We can only trade for one in July if it looks like a glaring problem. It's an awfully expensive purchase in July. If Edwin Jackson, Fowler and Hammel are all coming off the books along with a few others like Cahill and Wood, I would imagine they could at least try to be competitive with offers on the top closers. I think they would rather save the long term commitment in $$$ for 2017 when Jake and Lackey come off the books and take their chances with a patchwork pen (that still includes guys like Rondon, Strop, Edwards and Grimm) and if it doesn't work out fix it at the deadline. It is expensive this way I agree, I just think the long term commitment preference is starting pitching.

You think it's shameful that people joke about leaving the country if a person who has literally stated he will trample civil rights gets elected president? That's really dumb of you. You should look up the definition of shame. Yes. I think it's funny that people getting involved in a democratic election can't handle that they lost fair and square, so much that they are (falsely) claiming that they are going to literally renounce their citizenship. This happens literally every election and it doesn't get less stupid over time. It has nothing to do with handling their candidate losing, it has to do with not wanting to live in a country that is led by a racist, sexist xenophobe. You are right they do threaten this every election and maybe in virtually all prior elections I would agree with calling them out for being dumb. This particular time, I completely understand why someone would want to seek greener pastures. Edit: And that's the thing that bothers me about athletes that I cheer for being pro-Trump. I have no problem with anyone being a Republican. I try to stay close to the center as it is and I'm not opposed to all conservative beliefs. Regardless, the issues that divide us are not insurmountable to the point where I cannot respect the other person, even some of the more extreme examples. But I cannot respect someone that voted for Trump. There are no acceptable reasons for voting Trump IMO.

The best point I've seen made is that Jansen didn't start pitching until like 22 years old. At 17 Chapman was pitching in major Cuban tournaments. Lot more wear on the arm of Chapman, who absolutely has to have that 100+ MPH heater to be an elite reliever.
