  1. If the top option available was a lefty would that be less attractive for you? I saw Gore from the Nats mentioned in an article here recently. No doubter to add a pitcher of his caliber with team control, but would it be an issue to have your top 3 starters entering a playoff series (Shota, Gore, Boyd) all being LHP? For some matchups it might be an advantage but others it might be a death sentence.
  2. Seriously, I'm very interested in knowing how far off they were.
  3. Rereading the Bold Predictions thread looking for PCA predictions and even the ones that were very optimistic about PCA understated how good he would be.
  4. I don't claim to be an expert in these things but I have a hard time understanding how he could be unfortunate while being in the 1 percentile in exit velocity and 4 percentile in hard hit %
  5. Also it looks like the Twins are perfectly fine winning the first 2 games of the series with Paddack still in there.
  6. Ahh yes one of those series where were score almost all of our runs in one game.
  7. FWIW the Cubs won 2 of 3 in NY in 2023. Prior to that they had never won in NY against the Yankees in the history of both franchises.
  8. Don't forget that NSBB also gave up Sean Gallagher's dad in the trade.
  9. Just can’t believe 48 hours ago we were up 4 games with the Brewers starting a series against the Dodgers and us against the Twins
  10. Single, walk, walk, IF single, FC is not exactly the most reassuring way to score 2 runs but I’ll take it
  11. There would be like 75% less overreacting if the Brewers were winning 75% of their games. Obviously it’s only July so maybe we shouldn’t even care about the scoreboard but it adds a layer of annoyingness and dread to everything. 1.5 games is the closest the Brewers have been since April 22nd
  12. This is turning into the series from hell. less than 48 hours ago we had a 4 game lead, now we’re facing ending the night 1.5 up
  13. Brewers now 15-5 in their last 20. They won't always be this hot (because winning 75% of games is unprecedented) but annoying nonetheless with them playing the Nationals next while we play at Yankee stadium
  14. Doesn't matter anyone since PSG is apparently an unbeatable juggernaut but how the hell is a competitive knockout round PSG-Real Madrid match, played in the United States in the middle of the afternoon with nothing competing against it, only available on the streaming DAZN network? Apparently the Chelsea-PSG (most likely) final will also only be on DAZN.
  15. Dodgers offense just as bad against the Brewers. Both teams are 3 outs from defeat. Terrible night so far
  16. All the hitters just look really off today. Way more swing and miss than normal. Very annoying
  17. Seiya needs to do something. I bet a lefty comes in vs PCA and Busch
  18. Not ripping on you at all but how the horsefeathers are we in a position where this has to be a suggestion
  19. Just frustrating because we have a road series coming up against the Yankees full of terrible matchups. Meanwhile the Brewers are beating the Dodgers and get a home series against the Nationals this weekend
  20. You may be right. Here is his batting line against power pitchers this year: .146 .188 .260 .449
  21. Dodgers had 2nd and 3rd and 1 out and didn’t score. Brewers still lead ffs
