Cubs are actually "only" 5-9 when Peralta starts which seems decent considering his overall numbers against him.
  2. In case anyone was worried about Tucker being hurt stealing 2B in the 9th:
  3. Welp left hamstring strain for Shota. Really really testing our pitching depth with our top 2 starters out and not being particularly imposing to begin with.
  4. Yeah it would be difficult to be charged with 4 runs after leaving a game.
  5. Guys this is actually good. Every time the bullpen implodes we come back and win
  6. Damn, obviously I'm more than fine with the SB attempt but sucks to lose a leadoff single against a pitcher like this who is pitching well.
  7. The Cubs enter today tied for the largest division lead in baseball
  8. Do we buy what the Reds have been doing? They’re gonna lose tonight but they came into today with the 3rd best RD in the NL behind only the Cubs and Mets. Schedule has been super easy of late but they’re winning them mostly. Perhaps they are our stiffest competition.
  9. That’s insane. I wonder if pitchers are starting to work him differently given his chase % is still at like the 2 percentile or something. I guess they haven’t yet since he’s not striking out. Or maybe he’s making adjustments
  10. I keep missing the Brewers batting because I go to do something for a couple mins and come back to see their inning ending
  11. I mean he entered today 3rd in the MLB in fWAR way behind Judge but just 0.1 behind Carroll
  12. Hopefully Flexen finishes the game, I can see why they pulled Brown after 74 pitches but I don’t want to burn any of the pen in a 10-0 game
  13. Holy crap I just saw the replay. That’s a golf swing!
  14. Shouldn’t have lowballed him earlier this year (just assuming they did). They could have gotten him at a discount.
  15. Update: t4. Seiya Suzuki - 9 t14. Kyle Tucker - 8 t14. Pete Crow-Armstrong - 8 t22. Carson Kelly - 7 t31. Dansby Swanson - 6
  16. Cubs on the MLB HR leaderboard (leader has 10 HRs): t4. Seiya Suzuki - 9 t14. Kyle Tucker - 8 t22. Pete Crow-Armstrong - 7 t22. Carson Kelly - 7 t31. Dansby Swanson - 6
  17. Kind of wild that the A's are 17-12 when not facing the Cubs this year.
  18. immediately after that.... 6 against the 12-18 Marlins 3 against the 7-23 White Sox 3 against the 5-25 Rockies 3 against the 13-18 Nats (with 2 series against the 16-15 Reds mixed in)
