I hear you honestly. I've been on the venting side of things many times and called out by others. I've somewhat learned to bury the overreactions or at least keep them to myself, but I'm sure I'll do it again at some point.
But I completely understand the primal need to vent in threads like these when things are going poorly. I've been on message boards for 20+ years, this debate has happened in every single forum I've been on that has game threads.
All 9 Mariners runs were scored with 2 outs. 8 of the 9 Mariners runs were scored in innings where the Cubs got the first 2 hitters of the inning out. The other run was scored after starting the inning with an out, a walk and an out.
Yes the Cubs are trash and should probably be trying to see what we can get for Tucker. No team in baseball has ever recovered from a 15 game stretch where they go 7-8.
Looking at fWAR for 3B this season, mildly humorous that 3 of the top 8 were either Cubs in 2022 or 2023 (Parades and McKinstry) or someone the Cubs were heavily trying to sign last offseason (Bregman)
Waste of a leadoff double by the heart of the order. Not sure why Dansby is swinging at that particular first pitch. PCA also swung at some bad ones but he's earned the benefit of the doubt with the pitches he's hit this year.
Looking at Shaw this year vs PCA last year
The exit velocity for Shaw is horrifically bad, but his expected numbers look better than PCA's last year. Also surprising is despite looking like an excellent defender, savant doesn't seem to see him as one.
