How scared is the NHL of the possibility of Edmonton, Nashville and/or Ottawa making the SCF? 8 of the last 9 SCF have had Chicago, NY, Boston or Pittsburgh involved and the other one was LA vs NYC metro (which had terrible ratings).

I agree but selfishly I don't want to do anything to give Bosio any desire to leave the Cubs.

I immediately went to look at how big his stats for the season are with such a huge game. He now has......three homers and 15 RBI. I did too and noticed that the Nationals have top 3 RBI guys in MLB right now and obviously none of them are Rendon. They are scary good even with Eaton out for the year.

seems weird that we signed Cunningham and then used one of our 5 draft picks on another change of pace RB. I know Pace is a BPA guy (with a glaring exception) but RB is really not a position I would have expected us to draft especially with just 5 total picks and about 30 holes at other positions. I guess they will probably try to use this guy as a return man as well. Either way at least one of Carey, Langford or Cunningham is gone.

You know what's less likely than convincing good players to come to Chicago and play with Jimmy? Becoming championship contenders by trading away one of the best players in the league in his prime for draft picks and being absolutely horrible for years. But everybody wants to do that like it's some magic pill. Working horsefeathering great in Minnesota and Philadelphia, tho! Hell, New Orleans drafted Anthony Davis, he has turned into a superstar, and they've tasted the playoffs once. With this new CBA I honestly think you are more likely to build a good team from tanking than you are getting a star to sign here. We couldn't get stars to come to Chicago even before the new CBA made it even more advantageous for stars to stay with their current teams. Chicago is just not that desirable of a FA destination. That said, both scenarios are sadly very unlikely. We've had this discussion too much. To some degree I respect your viewpoint but I don't agree.

I meant defensively and today specifically i know that you meant defensively that is why i think it is an insane thing to say, even on a day with a misplay or two in a weird ass park that they never play in I obviously don't think that an OF with a multiple time GG in right and a future GGer in Almora is a bad defensive of.

brett anderson tomorrow. i'd be happy to just avoid the sweep. I know ERA doesn't mean much but I'm too lazy to look at other numbers but Anderson has the best ERA on the staff
