  1. From what I'm reading the Timberwolves would go higher than Rubio/Lavine until the 16 pick was included. Which is awful. You've done poorly at your job if the best offer you get for a top 15 player is that
  2. Bryant denies Addison a chance at the cycle (ok it would have be a double even if kris tried to score and Addison advanced but oh well)
  3. Stars don't just join shitty teams with no other stars. The Bulls still have 0 stars and really 0 potential stars IMO. Maybe Dunn.
  4. I couldn't think of a more GarPaxian way to blow up the Bulls
  5. I hate it. A 7 footer that can't rebound or play defense. His ceilin is a useful role player imo. We needed to shoot for a star since we dont have one now
  6. I mean jeez I know I was on team rebuild but this is the worst of the offers I saw out there. Not even a top 5 pick nor did they keep their own pick
  7. Looks like Jimmy to Minnesota is done or close for garbage package (Levine/Dunn/7)
  8. Amazing how different things look without the circus trip. Only 1 road trip longer than 4 games and its a 6 gamer during XMas.
  9. Wonder if that was part of the reason why he started in the OF the other day.
  10. I know the reality sucks. The Cubs won the last two games by their sheer talent alone. Being more talented is now a bad thing. The new market inefficiency is to acquire talentless players.
  11. Cubs get 4 total baserunners against one of the worst teams in the league even though the starter leaves hurt after 2 innings, while allowing the winning run to score by walking their #8 hitter with a .265 OBP. No bueno.
  12. Come the horsefeathers on Cubs offense you are supposed to be lighting the world on fire with your dongs, not sitting middle of the pack in runs scored.
  13. 4 freaking base runners in 8 innings against people I've never heard of...
  14. 2 freaking hits through 7 innings against the dregs of the Padres pitching staff.
  15. 11th in bullpen innings going into today. A bit of a concern, but we seem to lean on different guys for stretches and are pretty deep overall, so hopefully no one hits a wall. Flip side of that is Washington, who has 12 less bullpen innings than any other team. Dusty gonna Dusty. That's not too bad. I was looking at Quality starts when I posted that, where we are 25th in the league.
  16. I think Joe begins every Butler start ready to pull him at the first real sign of trouble whether its the 3rd or the 7th inning.
  17. We have a great bullpen but I'm concerned that they will be overworked by the playoffs. Too many sub 5 inning stars
  18. Good sport, definitely not completely broken. like 10 total teams have ever won a world cup or a premier league title Haha that's actually an interesting point because in sports like soccer, college football and college basketball you can have rewarding seasons without having a shot at winning a title whether the goal is to get promoted to top league, make the knockout rounds in regional or world cup, make the sweet 16, make a BCS bowl game, etc. And I'm totally on board with those things...I greatly enjoyed Michigan making a run to the sweet 16 this year and winning BTT, etc. But for some reason that does not translate for me to the NBA and I'm not sure why.
  19. We might have something in this Happ kid. I'm glad Joe kept playing him most days while he worked through his initial adjustments. The power increase is crazy...19 HRs already this year between Iowa and Chicago.
  20. Hey we've won 3 of our last 5 road games, we're back on track baby! The Nats series will be tough, but I think we at least split in Miami if not win 3 of 4, and should take 3 of 4 from the Reds. Looking at 6-5 or 7-4 for the trip IMO
  21. Well that sucks but we can definitely use his cap savings more efficiently
  22. If he doesn't retire but doesn't play we still get the same cap hit for him, we just don't get the punitive additional cap hit right? Or is he put on some injury list that relieves us of the cap hit?
