  1. Here's Brett Jackson the last time he played at Wrigley: I don't get it?
  2. Sad....RIP https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/cubs/2017/05/18/cubs-fan-dies-after-falling-over-railing-wrigley-field/101822766/
  3. The 2 hour Fresh Prince block on Nickelodeon from 12-2 AM saved me during the first year of my kids. Then freaking George Lopez came on and I knew it was time to hand the reigns off to my wife for the rest of the night.
  4. And the botched run down leads to yet another first inning run allowed
  5. Come on Rizzo can't botch that when you had him dead to rights
  6. Guessing Heyward is coming back tomorrow and they decided Candy was going to go down, so they did it a day early for an extra pitcher? Or just sending Candy back down after a 2 hit game to preserve his trade value
  7. We really rebuilt that team on the fly in 2015. In addition to Lake, Mike Olt, Edwin Jackson, Phil Coke, Tsuyoshi Wada and Wellington Castillo all played for that team at some point.
  8. *Apathetic grunt* http://www.post-gazette.com/image/2015/05/19/ca415,0,2185,1769/happ0520.jpg Is that dried blood on his neck? Nah, that was just watery Cincinnati chili that dribbled down his neck
  9. True, those days are a haze for me. I pretty much meant, before we became good. But anyway, as much as I am hoping Al gets playing time, and believe in his talent, he is simply an auto-out vs RHP at this point in his career. And last year was a total outlier in him reversing his splits. I don't put much stock in that happening again anytime soon. He has much work to do in that respect. we had coghlan/szczur/baxter in 2015 as well as coghlan/szczur/denorfia oh and coghlan/denorfia/baxter I had forgotten that Baxter was a real thing that happened on the 2015 Cubs
  10. It's crazy that pretty much Bryant, Russell, Rizzo and Schwarber are the only full time starters. Everyone else kind of rotates in and out each game.
  11. I never in a million years thought we'd be seeing Happ/Candelario hitting 4th-5th in a Chicago Cubs lineup in mid-May. Maybe in September.
  12. Sorry guys, I PM'd the next 4 people on the game thread list and no one posted a thread. Guess I jinxed the game threads forum similar to my injury update threads back in the day.
  13. I PM'd the 3 posters due up next and told one of them to start a game thread. If no one puts one up soon, it's time for a gam thread
  14. I've been waiting to hear a caller on the Score suggest convincing Ross to unretire because the Cubs are struggling without him.
  15. I saw that. Ross apparently had by far the lowest scores of the 4 finalists and Biles the highest, yet the fans voted Rossy in.
  16. 2015: Ivan Rabb and Jaylen Brown to Cal, They are going to be really really good 2017: [0 tournament wins later] valid point, I know nothing. They got some good players though
  17. Tilmon to Mizzou. They are going to be really really good
  18. Man would have been so cool for the Spurs to have won that game. I don't really care who wins the series, I just want to see a good horsefeathering series. Now with Leonard's injury, the Warriors will probably sweep. On the other side, I don't really see any team beat the Cavs, but for some reason I see the Wizards giving them a slightly more competitive series even without home court. Rooting for Washington tonight, but this series has seen home team win every game, and every game except Game 6 was decided by double digits so Boston probably wins.
  19. I'm sure I got the number of years wrong but apparently only 1 World Series winner in the last 20 years was under .500 at this point in their title season - 2003 Marlins. So basically everyone shut it down and let's play for the #1 pick
  20. How many hitters stop developing at age 23?
  21. Not until we have a negative RD. Still hanging in there at +2
  22. Wainwright's season ERA has gone down by over a run today
