Yes but then the wind and rain died down after that half inning and then suddenly picked back up when the Cubs came back out to pitch. Weird day, it seems like Wrigley Field is actively trying to sabotage the Cubs today. Must be because all our dongers were destroying Budweiser signs and batters eyes earlier in the week during BP.
They should take a star off of Schwarber's earlier catch for that play. Wow I don't blame him too much for not making that catch the way the winds are and how far he had to come but that wild flip was absolutely terrible. Oh look and now they realize that baseball is not playable after the Brewers are able to basically take control of the game.
Sometimes he walks guys because his control sucks, too, though. Not denying that but it looked really difficult to pitch in those conditions, which have of course seemingly improved since the last half inning ended.
They are so close to making this an official game and its pouring out. I think they give this 1 more batter before they bring the tarps out. Hopefully they can get that 3rd out (even though I doubt they call it after 4.5 innings)
No. Not really. He threw a lot of borderline pitches early, but most of them were slightly out of the zone and he didn't get any of those calls. As the inning continued he got more wild so when he missed they were well out of the zone.
I know this is well covered territory, but I never get sick about reading arguments about getting everyone enough playing time because we have too many good players.
