  1. Glennon completes a pass to his TE with 12 seconds left to avoid going the entire 3rd quarter without a completion
  2. I really like seeing the Falcons unable or unwilling to take too many shots downfield. The pass rush has helped but some of that has to be good coverage by secondary
  3. We have a legitimate chance to win this game but there's no way they'd bring in Trubisky for some reason. Think of what a win would do for our season. And we're taking our chances with a dude that walks into sacks and only completes passes to RBs
  4. Where has Kendall Wright been? I haven't even noticed him on the field
  5. Right now he feels like the missing piece. Yes the Bears WRs suck and that probably hurts Glennon's performance a little but with the running game working as well as it is, he should be able to find some open receivers
  6. Seriously. I can't remember the last time I've seen a QB walk into so many sacks. He's awful
  7. Holy hell is Glennon a stiff
  8. The offense is ass. The running game is elite, hater. That was Derwood that questioned whether the Bears had a top 10 rushing offense lol
  9. Tarik Cohen is the greatest player in Bears history. That was Hester like but as a RB
  10. Hate to be that guy but the Falcons look like they hold on every play
  11. Wish we had a QB on the roster who could move the. All down the field like this
  12. I feel like I follow the Bears fairly closely but I've never heard of Roy Robertson-Harris. He looks like a beast though
  13. I...I am not used to pressuring the QB into an incompletion on 3rd down
  14. Yeah but they did a good job stopping the run. Offense looks fairly miserable on the first drive
  15. It feels unnatural to question lineup decisions. Not that there haven't been questionable decisions in the past but you could always at least justify based on matchups or defensive ability. Not sure where you can justify Jay playing everyday and batting leadoff.
  16. Who is really resting? Zobrist and Avila? Will say this would have been a good day to start Schwarber but apparently he's been demoted to pinch hitter duty.
  17. So Contreras was activated from the DL this morning but he's not starting? That's ok not a big game today or anything
  18. If the Dodgers lose today, the 2016 Cubs will have caught up to them at 92-51
  19. You don't see a Urban Meyer OSU team being curb stomped at home very often but that is what is happening tonight. The 31-13 score is closer than the game actually has been. Could easily be 41-13
  20. If you think about it, it's pretty crazy how much has gone wrong. We've gotten very little from all three OF spots (3.4 WAR from Heyward/ALmora/Jay/Schwarbs) Russell sucked and got hurt (or got hurt and sucked,) same for Zobrist. So the only offensive production we've gotten is from KB/Rizzo/Willson with cameos from Happ and Baez. Our SP has gone backwards both in production and health, our bullpen is trash save CEJ and Wade, who both have the same Achilles heel anyway. Our trade acquisitions have been either disappointing or regretful. Even the bright spots are marred by problems — Bryant hasn't had anyone to knock in and is gonna finish with an RBI total in 60s, and Contreras started cold and missed a month with an injury. Even Baez's defense has gone backwards. All good points. The question is how much of that is aberration, how much is not and how much can we fix in the offseason. Do you expect improvements from Heyward, Almora, Schwarber, Russell, Zobrist? Russell I feel the best about but my confidence has waned on him this year. Schwarber can still be good but it's far from a sure thing. And then how do we fix any holes? We lose 2 SP, a closer and Jay so we will have money but even if you put Monty in a rotation spot, that is a lot to fix. I dunno you are right a LOT has gone wrong and I probably shouldn't put more emphasis on this year than the previous 2.
  21. I agree. The Brewers are the plucky underdogs that are making goofy tshirts and getting what they seem statememt wins. The Cubs are the heavy favorite that has a been there done that kind of approach these games. It sucks to watch them come in here and grow their confidence and continue to let them feel like they are anywhere near as good as the Cubs. But you know what? It won't matter if the Cubs win tomorrow. And if the Cubs don't win tomorrow they can split the series in Milwaukee and the Brewers still have to play 3 games better than the Cubs over the other 13 games in order to pass the Cubs outright. So they may be getting confidence for future years (when a large chunk of the team won't be around) but it's still not going to mean anything for this year barring a total Cubs collapse (and even if they do that will mean giving the Cardinals a bunch of wins)
  22. If we don't score in the last 3 innings it will be the 5th time in the last 7 games we score 0 or 1 runs
  23. Guys we might actually get our 20 run game today
  24. But Duke told me the Brewers offense sucked. He showed us numbers and everything. It's almost like he has some sort of jinxing effect.
