  1. No need to duck. It's the truth.
  2. When the Bulls and Hawks brass aren't more concerned about filling up the United Center with people watching the circus for two straight weeks. But the Bulls championship teams didn't get burned like this. This trip just exposes a team for what is truly is - BAD.
  3. I just realized that there is only one Bulls and Hawks thread and someone just changed the title of it for every game. I was wondering how there could be 40 pages of pre-game talk on the Hawks.
  4. JUST WAIT TIL HANSBROUGH GETS HERE NEXT YEAR THINGS WILL CHANGE!!!!!!!!!! Wait, not really.
  5. Exactly. I don't really understand what some of you are expecting. I don't see the Bulls making the playoffs. I want them to tank and get a good draft pick. Boers and Bernstein made a good point - the Bulls need a revamped team. When the Bulls finally made it to the Eastern Conference playoffs, no one on the team when Jordan first joined was left. Deng isn't going anywhere and I could live with Noc, but everyone else needs to go. The offense cannot go through Gordon. When I look at the upcoming players in the draft, I don't see much. I didn't know Rose and Beasley until late in the season, but I don't follow college basketball. I hear Ohio State has a good young center. Is Rose your Eastern Conference All Star starting PG?
  6. Imagine if Skiles was coach and he heard that. Skiles would change something: he would give him no time or 5 minutes of game time. It already happened. His name was Tim Thomas. Tim Thomas was a decent player too. Just the type the Bulls needed.
  7. But Portland is young enough to let you back in games. The Spurs won't do that, even with Ginobli out.
  8. Jerry took to long getting back to him. Unforgivable.

  10. Nope not at all, but you'd expect a little better effort than this. The Blazers are good but we should be able to stay on the floor with them. Portland was one of two teams the Bulls could have beaten on this roadtrip. Now all that's left is Golden State.
  11. The funny thing is that nearly every player on our team has come from one of the very best college programs in the country or had extensive international experience in Noc's case. Thomas played on a Final Four team, Gordon won an NCAA championship, Noah won two, Hinrich and Gooden played for one, Deng played for Duke, Rose played for one as well, Gray played Pitt. The pedigree just isn't there. You'd think with so many guys coming from big time programs theyh'd understand roles and basic principles better. But in a lot of ways this team has the collective basketball IQ of the immediate post-Jordan teams. Even Jay Williams was a Dukie! A lot of that has to fall on Pax. But now that most players who enter the NBA only enter after one year of college, they haven't developed. The good players ruled in high school and weren't forced to develop. Then they have one year of college basketball. It takes time. But none of the Bulls' big men will ever be anything sadly. This is a huge issue, and the future of the NBA could be grim if it turns into a developmental league And there is an NBA developmental league, but for those guys most of them went to college for four years and are pretty much done developing. If they had potential, a GM would have seen it.
  12. They can't shoot and don't have anything resembling a post move outside of Gray. And if Gray is your best front court player, you have BIG problems.

  14. Vinny might not make it through the year. Should have kept Skiles. Man this team has gone downhill since they beat the Heat in the playoffs two years ago. Many of the same players are around too. But the NBA and especially the east got better. Noah is not an NBA player. But you could say the same about the rest of the team.
  15. No Jackson, no Pace. Bears better win. Maybe the defense will even get a sack.
  16. Noah is hilarious to watch. Like taking candy from a baby.
  17. The announcers are correct: have every possession go through Rose. Gordon should stand in a corner, wait for penetration, and then be open on the kickout. What Rose can do is penetrate and score. Gordon has nothing when he gets in the air. Man does he look bad in the air.
  18. The 90s Bulls teams would absolutely curbstomp this Lakers team. The Kobe-Shaq teams would as well. They're talented and they play a very aestheticly appealing brand of ball but they are soft as butter in a lot of areas. But watch this team develop. Shaq had power, but Gasol is smooth as butter. We really haven't seen what Bynum can do with Gasol and Kobe.
  19. Noc, get a haircut. My goodness that is bad.
  20. Yeah, but Portland is extremely high on Fernandez and doubtful he would be available. Yeah, I know. I don't know why they would trade Fernandez, but have to trade something to get something. I'd be willing to throw in Deng after 12/15 and take back Pryzbilla and Diogu (other big contracts of non-core players) if needed. Unfortunately Deng is basically untradeable. Due to his contract extension, Deng is a BYC player which makes trading Deng is virtually impossible seeing as the Bulls could only take about a certain amount in return. So Deng is untouchable this yr. Deng is a $70 million dollar player who doesn't do anything particularly well. He can't post up, can't shot threes, is not a good ball handler, and isn't even physical. And we couldn't trade him for Kobe.
  21. I think there have been three of them so far. This is the first Bulls game I have sat down to. Man, how did Rose only average 15 or so in college? He is lightning quick. Gordon on Radmonovich. That is a matchup problem. Gasol with 18 in the first with 2:11 left. Wow.
  22. What channel is the game on? The Bulls and Hawks are on CSN.
  23. They said they wanted both because both were possibilities. The law of supply and demand would have decreased the potential money the Cubs gave to Dempster and the players the Cubs would need to move to get Peavy.
  24. For the same reason the Cubs didn't resign Wood. Money. It doesn't grow on tress, especially in this economy. Peavy has no chance of coming here.
