  1. I hope Pace doesn't play at all
  2. I wonder if this game gets moved to Monday night. Ready for Mike and Mike to call the game?
  3. I don't see how any pitcher other than the starter would contribute the most to the victory. Starter goes 6 innings giving up 5 runs, team wins 6-5. True. I would change my initial suggestion to a starter who performed a quality start.
  4. I don't see how any pitcher other than the starter would contribute the most to the victory.
  5. If there is one stat that I would like to see changed in baseball, it is this one. Imagine a scenario where pitcher A qualifies for a win, is taken out of the game after 5 or more innings (complete, not half innings), and reliever A comes in. Reliever A promptly gives up the lead and would be on the hook for the loss. During the course of the next half inning, pitcher A and reliever A's team takes the lead again and continues to hold it until the game is over. Pitcher A's team wins. Why should reliever A get credit for the win when he actually blew the game? I think the win should go to pitcher A. What do you think? Am I missing something?
  6. How did Silva ever get a contract like that? I can understand how Milton did, he at least had a few good years. But Silva...he must have a great agent.
  7. I hate to say it (maybe it isn't a top game), but game 6 of the NLCS in 2003 could be an omission.
  8. She didn't just point it out. She said that he shouldn't have married a white woman.
  9. He should have been boning black female billionaires. Are there even any?
  10. But even those black women who cut Woods some slack for marrying Nordegren were shocked that every woman that has jiggled out of the closet in this sex scandal has been white. http://www.suntimes.com/news/mitchell/1939923,CST-NWS-mitch15.article Mary Mitchell has been a racist for a while. Why should black women need to cut Tiger slack for marrying a white woman?
  11. You say Tiger should have foresight and not put himself in tempting situations, but you also say that he has no choice because women constantly sought him out. But he also, reportedly, met with casino owners who gave him private suites with ready access to women. Tiger sought these girls out because he wanted what he thought was the best of both worlds: married life and playboy life.
  12. i don't think taking pleasure in the suffering of others is very christian I totally agree
  13. Accenture totally dropped Tiger as their spokeperson
  14. More than anything, I'm surprised that celebs even attempt marriage. You're rarely home, and everywhere you go you'll have women throwing themselves at you. At some point, it's going to give. I'm not condoning the behavior, I'm just calling it futile to try and maintain a monogamous relationship at a young age and in those circumstances. I wouldn't even try. Not everyone is a strong as A.C. Green. And of course you're going to shack up with "regular" people, unless you want everyone to find out. Some people are looking for true love and realize that hooking up loses its luster over time. Some people try to find true love and also hook up. Tiger preferred the latter. As good as the sex probably was with beautiful women, I think pretty much every guy out there knows that it can get depressing knowing that women only want you for reasons other than love.
  15. Gillette is not advertising with Tiger until he gets back to golf.
  16. Tiger is back no later than the Masters. His whole life is golf. He is determined to break Nicklaus' major streak because he is so competitive. He is taking a leave of absence to either honestly try to recover and get his life back together or deflect media attention and seem contrite.
  17. A couple of interesting things I noticed about the Hawks which everyone else probably already knew. - The Hawks are drawing 104% of capacity for home games this season, a higher percentage by 2 points than the second highest home draw. Incredible! - The Hawks are tied for the lowest goals against average with New Jersey at 2.14. And I thought defense/goaltending was the relative weakness of this team?
  18. Life & Style magazine quoted two PGA golfers, Ben Crane and Charles Warren, as saying that they really disapproved of Woods behavior. Now these two golfers never said they talked to the magazine. Life & Style said two people who "presented" themselves as Crane and Warren were interviewed by the magazine. Interesting development. http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=4733865
  19. I guess Biggs is staying on the show even though he moved to the Tribune? Did they offer any reasons why the line was only 3? Lovie Smith's record against the Packers is the only thing that comes to mind.
  20. I don't know if this means there's still a bunch of delusional Bears fans putting money on them, or if Vegas knows something about this matchup that I can't figure out. It looks to me like they are trying to get people to take the Packers, which shouldn't be a problem. Vegas doesn't know something we don't know. The Bears are terrible. There must be a bunch of delusional Bears fans out there.
  21. Wrigley is having its bathrooms updated, but thank God the troughs stay! http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-talk-wrigley-field-bathroomsdec11,0,7445107.story
  22. The line is still at 3. I have never placed a bet on a sports game in my life, but this one is incredibly tempting.
  23. Wasn't he very close to being traded last year too?
  24. It was three years ago that the Blackhawks were rated as the worst franchise in professional sports. What a turn around!
  25. While Tiger is having issues, maybe John Daly is closer to resolving his. He looks pretty good. I wish him luck; I've always liked the guy. http://sports.yahoo.com/golf/blog/devil_ball_golf/post/John-Daly-is-slimmed-down-and-fired-up-for-Holly?urn=golf,207433
