    The Bears were fumble and mistake prone all game and the defense had been stout. Under those circumstances you kick the field goal.

    Mully from 670 pointed out that on the goal line play, the Bears carry 4 TEs and don't have a true FB. That made it hard to push it in. Clark is technically the FB.

    Bad offensive line play by the Cowboys. For the Bears' sake, I hope they are still injured. Peppers has to completely dominate for them to win.

    Wade Phillips has always been overmatched as a coach. He always has the deer in the headlights look in the sideline.

    Dallas scoreless so far. Let's hope they can't score next week too.

    Not when you are losing and could kick a field goal to take the lead and you were unsuccessful three times in a row before that. Lovie's call was bad in my opinion, but you can't let the offense off the hook either. They shouldn't have had to put Lovie in that position. 3 tries from the 6 inch line should get it done.

    Looks like the Redskins are really trying to be physical with Bryant. But that personal foul on Fletcher was crap. When he was in the air ready to hit Bryant, Bryant wasn't down yet. That was way too picky.

    Could the Bears somehow swing a deal for Mankins from the Pats?

    Well you did say they felt robbed. That could be taken to mean that the kids could begin to hate football. I don't particularly like things that robbed me.

    Lovie said his goal line call 'helped win the Bears the game.' Whatever the merits of that call, it certainly didn't help win the game. For as classy as this guy is off the field, he is incredibly arrogant in his post-game interviews.

    The Kolb and Vick debate might heat up in the media, although I doubt Reid will change anything next week.

    I doubt the Bears play prevent defense if all Detroit needed was a field goal. The prevent defense is stupid most of the time.

    Ok. Makes sense now. It sure saved Lovie's butt.

    But the Lions hadn't moved the ball at all in the second half so trying to score a TD wasn't really necessary. It was just too risky that late in the game. Did the Bears try play action the time that Cutler had to throw the ball away and almost was sacked?

    There's a difference between determining in/out of bounds and determining a completed catch. What you're talking about in terms of getting something down matters for the former. Maintaining possession of the ball completely through the play determines the latter. But isn't the play over, if you are in the end zone, and your knee touches and you have possession at that moment?

    Cutler threw a bad ball. End of story. If he finishes with 16 INTs in a Martz system I will be overjoyed.

    His knee/butt was down before his hand came down. Does your thigh count as part of the anatomy neened to be down?

    CBS has the doubleheader next week. The 4 PM games on the channel that doesn't have the doubleheader are almost always terrible because they're only seen by maybe 5% of the country at most. That's why those particular games were picked. I figured that was probably what it was. I forgot that there can't be two national games at once.

    Yeah these look to be serious injuries. Destroyed knee/leg and a bad concussion.

    The 4PM national game for Fox is either Seattle/Denver or St. Louis/Oakland. Those are both terrible games for a national audience.

    They don't even bring the cart out for the poor guy. Boy he was in some pain.

    I think Bowman at first and then they put Tilman on him. Are the 4:30 Fox games already set for next week? It seems that this would would be a good one for the ratings.
