  1. Noah has a odd looking putting stroke. But this is not surprising. http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/11/2010/09/500x_noah.jpg
  2. I would like to keep him to play him next year with a more west coast style offense.
  3. I would have liked to have seen Olsen for one more year in a west coast system before trading him. I just don't want to get rid of Olsen because he doesn't fit Martz's system when Martz and his system are more than likely going to be gone next year. There is no way on earth they get a second rounder for him.
  4. I think there was Ozzie's supposed reason for their DH plan and Kenny's reason. Both think it was their idea. Until it kinda failed.
  5. Another interesting thing about the Manny deal is that they spent more on him for a month ($4 million) than Thome's entire contract this year. Thome is having a solid year - far better than the Sox's compilation of underperforming DHs. I am not sure if they didn't get Thome because of money issues, or because Ozzie doesn't like station to station players. Either way, I am pretty sure the Sox are a couple of games better in the standings with Thome.
  6. Manny told Ozzie that he is ready to play...just not ready to start today. He was too tired from getting up at 4:30 AM and he needed some rest (wasn't he resting the last few days?). $133,000 for sitting on the bench is nice work if you can get it. Manny also pulled a Sammy and conveniently forgot how to speak English at his press conference. Joey Cora acted as interpreter.
  7. I am not sure if Suh is trying to tell the NFL that he is a bad boy, but that was way over the line. There are plenty of times that you can demolish a QB in the NFL, so just do it legally. I think he should be hit with a huge fine.
  8. Unfortunately the first 4-5 games are arguably the toughest part of the Bears schedule. The last quarter looks impossibly difficult: home New England, at Minnesota, home NY Jets, at Green Bay.
  9. I didn't watch much, but it did look like a couple receivers were confused out there in addition to Cutler having happy feet. Very possible...that's something that's hard for us to see watching on TV. Fox said something on the Saturday broadcast on how they were using wide-screen cameras in addition to the widescreen HD format. I guess you can see the safeties line up now a little better. The whole defense is now in view.
  10. Then it really isn't a good life philosophy if it only applies to a fraction of the population. That's on top of the fact that anyone who bones everything that moves is a despicable human being.
  11. Pretty much just a good philosophy to have in life. Look how well it worked for Tiger. Oh wait... He's a billionaire with a ton of athletic success. Looks like it turned out okay to me. Boning everything that moves didn't get him where he is. Now he lost hundreds of millions, lost his wife, won't see his kids as much, and his golf game has tanked. He might not break Jack's major record and he has alienated many of his fans. His boning philosophy is destroying his life. It might have fueled his golf or acted as an escape for a time, but it really came back to bite him.

  13. A bad second string QB. But what a strip! That was a vicious strip.
  14. The Packers are going to drop a hundred on this team
  15. This is a 5-11 team if they play like this. Remember the days when the special teams were explosive? I want that Hester back.
  16. That site is going to save me a ton of money in Atlanta. I don't have to go to a sport's bar to watch the games now. If only there was an HD feed.
  17. Yep. He would have had a TD if Jay could have hit him on stride. The protection is still not good. Jay makes plays when the protection breaks down, he moves around, and makes a play. 2 sacks already.
  18. My new favorite website. http://atdhe.net/
  19. Anyone watching the World Championships to see how Rose's new three ball is looking? Is he showcasing it at all?
  20. I understand that the reason the Marlins want help to cover the cost of the new stadium is beacuse the state of Florida takes in a ton of taxes because of the new stadium. Has anyone done the math to see how much the state would make in taxes by loaning the Marlins the money? Is it more than the $2.5 billion they will pay by 2049?
  21. Has anyone been close to winning the triple crown lately?
  22. In 2006 Roy Williams had a big year with 1300 yards. I don't know if a Bear receiver can get over 1,000. But as we all know, the problem with this team is not the receivers now, but the offensive line.
  23. Young has a .667 winning percentage as a starter. But I just can't stand his awful throwing motion. No one wins a Super Bowl unless they can become a pocket passer.
  24. Hub Arkush just said that barring a terrible 2010 (like 3-13), he thinks the Bear higher ups have changed their minds and that Lovie will be back. If they fired him, they would have to hire somebody and pay that coach's salary if there is a lockout because head coaches (but not assistants) get paid during lockouts (right?). Hub also said he thinks there is a good possibility that Angelo will retire at the end of this season.
  25. Yes I think Hank Aaron would not have taken an illegal substance. To argue otherwise is simply obtuse. This is all trying to protect a bunch of modern players who absolutely disrespected the game. Why cover for them?
