  1. We will pay you more than anyone else can. I think that's all you need to say.
  2. I'm hoping Carmelo opts out and realizes it's better to make less with the Bulls and win something than to toil in New York on average teams.
  3. Can't the teams themselves or local advertisers buy the rest up?
  4. 6 according to this article: http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/66590/sixth-concussion-in-jay-cutlers-career you must be devastated today For what reason? I've wanted Cutler signed to a new deal.
  5. i don't get how this is at all true. maybe this is over my head or i'm not getting something that's as plain as day. the traumatic injuries that he received were from his head being struck or from his hand becoming entangled and twisted, both upper-body injuries that have little to do with a pattern of wear and tear. I think he's essentially saying that Cutler is like a mini-McMahon. Takes too many chances, gets himself into trouble too much. I would have thought that his first several years of football would dispel that notion, but he's countering with the idea that those were just lucky years. Again -- I don't agree with it, but that's what it sounds like to me. So he'll be injured more because he'll stick himself into trouble too much. I've seen times this year where Cutler could have thrown a block on a reverse and he chose not to. I think there was a pick-6 where he really didn't make much of an effort to tackle the guy with the ball. Maybe the Knox-int-broken thumb play knocked some sense into him and Jay realized it's not worth it. With that said, Cutler finished the first half when he had the high-ankle sprain. He doesn't like to take himself out of games.

  7. Every game in the NFL is important, but Jay has gotten hurt in the NFC Championship game in 2011, late in the season in 2011, and the middle and end of this year. There is no good time to get hurt, but he has gotten hurt when his team has arguably been playing its best ball the last three times. Just makes the injury time seem worse I guess.
  8. I'm sure it'll happen soon. More of a restructure to lower his number this year and give him probably 2-3 extra years. I'm excited about Wilson with those guys. Dynamic ability. Definitely excited about Wilson. Surely the first time I've ever seen you write that. Is Wilson a possession receiver like Bennett or does he have downfield speed?
  9. I don't think this way at all. He was a solid hire at the time. Lots of people and personalities alike approved of it. I think you need to have success at something before you get a promotion. Coming to the Bears is a slight promotion even if his title didn't change. His Jags defenses were only good in for one year in 2011.
  10. The mistake was bringing him in here in the first place. Was there really no one better?
  11. Pompei thinks Frazier could bring Singletary with him. Is Singletary a good LB coach and not just a little weird? http://sulia.com/channel/chicago-bears/f/cc98aeae-1fd0-4f10-949d-ebb65c0d431a/?source=twitter
  12. After Hub spent the whole show today talking down Kyle Long. Self-serving. How did Long's bad hands do this year? Just fine.
  13. The real question is, was Cutler the best player on either team yesterday? Forte the only guy I can think of I might rank ahead of Jay. Sucks for Cutler. He outplayed Rodgers and his team isn't going to the playoffs.
  14. Agreed with everything except I think Jay is not going to sign for just 4 years
  15. Bring Frazier in as DC now that he is without a job
  16. And yet, the Packers made the playoffs. They would have won 12 with a healthy Rodgers all year. The Bears literally have no excuse for missing even with injuries. They blew it. Maybe, but they still had starters missing more combined weeks than any other team
  17. Conte and Wright were bad, but considering how bad the pass rush has been all year the safeties will get hung out to dry
  18. I remember Manning saying later that he knew what the defensive call was, but he said screw it I'm doing my own thing.
  19. Why do you do an all out blitz on a 4th and 8!?!?!?!?! I was prepared to give Tucker a 2nd chance due to injuries and let him revamp the defense/get his type of players in the offseason, but he should be fired tomorrow morning. Yeah and the team had covered pretty decently all game. Time was on your side. If they convert make a tackle and force them to kick a long-ish FG on your [expletive] ass field. That was such a bad, bad call. Such a bad call. Bears haven't been good at blitzing for years
  20. Marshall needed to make that 3rd down catch
  21. Wow. Late season collapse again to stay out of the playoffs.
  22. No pressure on Rodgers all game, esp last drive
  23. And let MN in last year
  24. Won't kick to him
