Yes it is. Melo has clear defensive deficiencies, never been close to a ring, and would be coming to a team that has had tons of success due to defensive prowess. LBJ is undisputed the best in the game. It's like Jordan vs. Iverson. But getting Melo or LeBron is not adding pieces. This isn't getting Grant or Rodman. You are adding superstars.

Not any more respectful adding Melo than it would be with LeBron. You can have respect or go home in May every year.

It is unreasonable to not want the best player in the game and maybe one day the best ever on your team. Living in Atlanta I've found out they really want choir boys here. They want good clubhouse guys above talent. And that's why they always underachieve.

Why would the Knicks want to do a sign and trade with Melo for Boozer? It doesn't help them at all. Just let Melo walk.

Because that would make a better team. You can save what, $3-5 million with Deng as opposed to Melo and use that on someone else. You don't understand how the NBA salary cap works. I thought if you opt out, you have to be involved in a sign and trade? what? and did you also say you'd rather have deng than melo? wtf??! Did you even bother to mention the context? I said if the Bulls got Kevin Love first, I would rather add Deng than trying to get Love and Melo.
