Yes it is. Melo has clear defensive deficiencies, never been close to a ring, and would be coming to a team that has had tons of success due to defensive prowess. LBJ is undisputed the best in the game. It's like Jordan vs. Iverson. But getting Melo or LeBron is not adding pieces. This isn't getting Grant or Rodman. You are adding superstars. But that's what the league is. You add superstars. And the Bulls, at least, have a team that is very close. It's not like the Knicks who tried to buy a ring with Melo and Amare 4 years ago. It's not even like the Heat, who had 2 straight 1st round exits (after a league worst 2008 season) and weren't really all that close 4 years ago before adding 2 superstars. That's why I don't care about building a team the "right way." The Bulls have drafted well and Thibs has developed players and made castoffs good money. But I'm tired of the old try hard Bulls. Get THE piece already.
