  1. Bears have worst 4th quarter defense in NFL
  2. Daniel had a pretty good half actually
  3. No one’s going to be clamoring for Daniel over Trubisky at least
  4. Daniel with one career TD coming in. Might leave with that same number.
  5. Three throws with Daniel. Real smart.
  6. Daniel officially starting
  7. Trubisky hurt, Shaheen and Sims out, and you’re worried about the best defense in the NFL?
  8. If Mitch is out and Daniel starts, what happens if he gets hurt?
  9. He's holding out for a head coaching job which he should get a shot at sooner than later. Has a pretty good thing going on at KC, but yeah the Bears would love to have him.
  10. According to whatever I read on twitter, he does not practice at soldier field during the week because he doesn’t like the commute or something I hope you’re joking
  11. The postgame guys on 780 wondered if Parkey is practicing at least one day a week at Soldier Field because a lot of them the last 20-30 years did. Was every kick hitting the right goal post too?
  12. Parkey has to be gone tomorrow
  13. Davidson rushed for a NCAA record 789 yards and lost https://www.yahoo.com/sports/davidson-set-division-record-rushing-yards-still-lost-024920652.html
  14. I'm getting bullish on this team. As much as I dislike Forman, Pax has done a good job with drafts and trades. Parker is going to be gone after this year even though I was all for picking him up for a year because they had to get above the cap floor anyway. Carter is playing pretty good. You have a very nice, young core with Dunn, LaVine, Markkanen, and Carter. Can Carter every turn into a center to get all four of those guys on the court at the same time?
  15. Lombardi isn't totally wrong on the Bears though. They really haven't beaten a good team yet. Can only play who is on the schedule. They've only played IME 3 teams that are decent, the Seahawks, Dolphins and Patriots. Beat Seattle, a couple of plays made the difference in a close loss at Miami and the Patriots-Bears game was decided on 2 special teams TDs and a hail mary to the 1. Not that we should be counting almost wins at this point, but the point is that its not like the Bears are getting dominated in their losses. They haven't been dominated in any game this year. Also I'm pretty sure Lombardi is a former PFF guy and PFF has the Bears as one of the best teams in the league. Can only play who is on the schedule but they also haven’t beat anyone good on the schedule. Seattle was down a bunch of solid players at the time too. Beat the Vikings in 10 days and you can begin convincing those who question the Bears.

  17. I guess that's not as bad of a scenario as I thought it could be after seeing Kyle go down. Still, he's the heart and soul of the offensive line and the toughest and most important games are coming up. I thought I remember seeing that the line was pretty darn good at keeping Trubisky from getting sacked, but Mitch is great at running from pressure and making the line look better than they are. If Mack was 70% last week and the Bears held him back, what if he's 80% this week? The Bears can easily win without him, but he's playing in Buffalo where he went to college and Mack doesn't miss games outside of last week.
  18. Trade Howard and/or Floyd for second rounders? Not sure if you could get firsts for them, but they can be replaced fairly easily in the Bears offense and defense.
  19. Trubisky in shotgun 79% of the time https://www.sharpfootballstats.com/snap-rates--shotgun-v-under-center--off-.html
  20. Parkey is not an NFL kicker
  21. Floyd needs to step up. I guess he’s been OK apart from sacks this year, but he needs to make some big plays today.
  22. Mack is questionable. Any team can beat the Bears without Mack at full strength it seems. Allen Robinson is out. I’d play White over Bellamy.
  23. This is an honest question, but why is fWAR a better indication of WAR than bWAR? bWAR has Heyward and Harper averaging the same amount of wins the last 6 years. fWAR rates Harper better. 1. It doesn't matter! Using Jason Heyward's 2013-2015(which is like 75% of that 6 year span WAR) as anything representative of what Heyward is going to do in 2019 and beyond is crazy. That ship has sailed, Heyward is not that player any more, we have 3 years and 2000ish plate appearances as proof. 2. bWAR is simply less accurate. For pitchers it can be a worthy counterpart to fWAR because it is more descriptive while fWAR is more predictive(e.g. ERA v. FIP), but for hitters there's no reason to use anything you see on BR outside of using the DRS defensive values for comparison/validation to what UZR is saying. I’m not arguing that Heyward will play up to his best years. I’m fearful that the last three years of Harper are more representative of his future than his MVP year. We’re 1,500 ABs from Harper MVP season he hasn’t been nearly that type of player since.
