    1) Yes. I'm pretty sure the producers actively seek dumb people, but they don't have to look hard. Sports talk radio callers are the worst. 2) Absolutely yes. It's their thing. Most deserve it, but it gets them ratings, so yes. To #1, maybe they occasionally try to get the fun-bad callers on the air, but I'm pretty sure it's just the fact that the majority of people who would call into any radio show are criminally dumb, which you alluded to. Other shows don't get the same level of stupidity. I mean, there's dumb callers on all shows, but B&B get the really special ones. "Jay is going to retire." Yep, that was an all-timer.

    Or at least offensive talent. 2011 after beating the Chargers was the time when I really thought the offense was coming together. But Lovie just couldn't find the right coordinator to get the offense moving, but the talent around Jay had also been substandard for years.

    Benching Jay can't help the Bears bargaining ability with a trading partner. If Clausen gets hurt, do you go back to Jay or Fales?

    Trestman is so bad at press conferences. Next time Emery should quiz his coaching candidates on how they'd handle them.

    I guess this is Trestman's version of accountability. If the Bears want to keep Cutler and fire Trestman at the end of the season, just fire Trestman now.

Can the Bulls afford him? They can, you can go over the cap to keep your own players Yea but Reinsdorf said he doesn't really want to go over the cap much unless that player is a stud who really increases the chances of getting a ring.

    Only if they're not smart. Just by waiting a month, you gain an entire year of control. Even if Bryant is worth 2 more WAR (he won't be) than Valbuena, that's about 1/3 of 1 win. Just wait the month. Angering Boras could cost you more long-term, especially if Bryant had a great ST.

    What an incredible offseason for Theo! Never imagined Maddon and Lester. Wonder if anyone picks the Cubs as division winners now.
