He has 52 strikeouts in his last 119 innings in AAA. It's not like his GB rate is that high this year either. I just don't see a scenario where he's an above average major league starter. I'd be interested to see him out of the pen probably, but this move doesn't excite me a whole lot. I'm definitely team Montgomery for the 5th spot.

Yay Javy. Amid a lot of bad slash lines in the lineup, his OPS is back over .800. He deserves more applause from NSB. -

I didn't see any of the game but had Pat and Ron on in the 9th. They were definitely warning Rondon not to throw his slider to Gardner with that wind direction and the late swings on his fastball. Also would it be fair to say the Yankees outplayed us the whole game? I'm looking at that hit column..

I'm basically penciling in a Candelario for Marco Estrada swap sometime in June. I'd love a Archer/Quintana/Stroman, but in the end I don't see Theo paying the price.
