  1. It's always fun when an umpire is the one who puts the game out of reach.
  2. Bryant has played the hell out of third base this month.
  3. What are the chances the Brewers are done scoring? Less than 0%?
  4. My immediate reaction to that play was it was such a weird decision by Braun not to tag that it made Heyward's good decision look bad
  5. So the Blue Jays keep losing and Donaldson keeps hurting his calf. Their 3B depth chart is currently 1) Darwin Barney 2)Chris Coghlan, and their first baseman (Justin Smoak) also sucks. I wonder if they have interest in Candelario and what type of value he has. They're last in the MLB in runs and have a 2-10 record. There's got to be at least some desperation there.
  6. This thread is probably tame compared to what's going on in Theo's head
  7. He looked REALLY out on a few of those shots.
  8. With Rondon, this inning will either end 1-1 or 7-1
  9. I kind of hate basically intentionally walking him with the top of the order due up.
  10. TLS gets a lot of flack, probably deservedly so, but he's a good guy to have off the bench.
  11. Nice, Rizzo got the platinum glove patch on his second baseman's glove
  12. His arm always looks a little funky. Thank goodness for those double plus hands though; the wild card game is about the only "fielding" error of his I can think of off the top of my head.
  13. ICubs beat reporter: [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] He's said similar things before. Obviously not a scout but still a good sign. Also looks like Butler is pitching well as far as not giving up runs. Still can't strike anyone out though.
  14. Fouling a pitch off Cervelli and throwing the bat at Harrison is still a productive AB
  15. Eh, it's pretty easy not to roll over the base like a big oaf. That was pretty clearly against the rules. I thought Maddon might also challenge because the fielder's foot wasn't on the base when he caught the ball.
  16. Didn't they also get rid of the neighborhood play? Because the second baseman also wasn't on the base.
  17. I can envision Theo trying to trade Javy at this very moment so Maddon will finally play his Scott Hatteberg.
  18. Man I hate that pitch selection. He didn't even flinch at the previous two sliders and was waaay late on the last fastball.
  19. This is a lot of Brian Duensing late in a close game.
