    Jesus. I've been so annoyed lately I haven't even been following the Brewers. I was assuming we were at least 2 games out.

    Between Addison Russell, the very mediocre play on the field, accusing opponents of taking steroids, and the presence of John Lackey, the 2017 Cubs are quite unlikable.

    Remind me next time we have a 4 game winning streak not to get my hopes up that the Cubs are "back"

    I'm still quite frustrated with Montero not being prepared for the breaking ball in the dirt that he told the pitcher to throw AND him not covering the plate on the same play.

    Is Lackey's penchant for throwing everything right down the middle a macho thing, or does he just have sneaky bad command?

    Rizzo is gonna log a couple of games worth of second base as a lefty, which will confuse the heck out of some people who look back at his career.

    I wonder how embarrassed umpires get when they see their pitch fx data (or whatever they use). I mean we see bad zones all the time, but some of these calls tonight are truly alarming.

    Butler throws hard, but his overall stuff is very mediocre. As is his command.

    Bryant's 3 homer game was started by Straily, right? I recall him hitting a ball halfway up the second deck against him in Cinci.

    If you can throw a fastball over 94 mph and you give up a hit to Schwarber or Russell on anything besides a high fastball, you and your catcher should get released.
