  1. This site has it at 11. I must say none of these girls are nearly as good looking as Elin. http://backporch.fanhouse.com/2009/12/08/tiger-woods-mistresses-the-still-growing-cheat-sheet/ well yeah but there's a real number and then there are the people who have never met tiger woods and are coming forward because they want publicity. That's not to say the real number is lower than 11. There's also the women who cheated on their husbands/boyfriends with him, or the women who don't want to look like golddiggers, or just don't want to sell their story for whatever reason.
  2. Agreed, but Rosenthal tends to be somewhat decent at least when he floats a rumor. The very thought of him anywhere in the outfield at Wrigley makes me want to ](*,) Rosenthal has been terrible the past year or so. He had one really good offseason.
  3. Maybe Hendry is stupid like a fox, and leaked this Bradley-Silva rumor. Thus every other GM in the league raced to their phones and offered him something for Bradley, knowing they could obviously beat that.
  4. You have to be a special kind of bad to pitch in Safeco, in front of that defense, and put up the numbers Silva did. If the Cubs traded for him, the best course of action would be to immediately release him.
  5. Yeah, except he's a [expletive] awful baseball player. true, but you have to work with what you got...and we got bradley... Who is a good baseball player. Working with what you got is not turning a good baseball player into a bad one.
  6. Yeah, except he's a [expletive] awful baseball player.
  7. If there were a 4-team playoff this year, which undefeated team do you leave out? Or do you leave 2 out and include Florida? The reason, to me, a 4-team playoff doesn't and won't ever work, is that there are 6 BCS conferences, and if they can't all be represented in a playoff, it'll never fly. So, the minimum playoff would probably have to be 8 teams. And that's why I don't like the 8-team playoff ideas. I know it didn't happen this year (though this year is actually an outlier) but I hate it when a team ranked outside of the top-15 wins its conference and gets an autobid. I can see the BCS conferences agreeing to a 4-team playoff. What I can't see is them agreeing to an 8-team playoff where the top-8 go and there are no autobids. I'd also leave Boise State out because they have the weakest resume. Boise also has the 2nd best win. I'd leave out Texas.
  8. No Chance. Even if they win like 55-10 and Texas wins like 17-14? Texas would have beaten a team that already dominated Florida in a game that was way more important to Florida. Writers will write it off as Florida not having their heart in the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few 1st place votes their way, but I'd be stunned to see anything close to a majority. Regardless of what happens in the BCS games, I wouldn't be shocked to see 1 voter throw a 1st place vote to a secondary undefeated team out of protest.
  9. Peter Gammons was awesome. He's a parody at this point.
  10. Never figured a guy like Sandberg to be firey. He always seemed pretty laid-back as a player. He's doing it because he's trying to be more managerly
  11. Possible "new endeavors": Touring with his band Writing about the Red Sox Talking about the Red Sox Watching the Red Sox Writing about his band Starting a blog about the Red Sox Working for the Red Sox Writing about the Red Sox Dying.
  12. But Clausen didn't fall on his face. He's going to be an NFL QB
  13. That can't be true. I thought it was funny when he got indignant about roids, but I'm not sure that qualified as a story.
  14. Pitt's not too good. They should beat you, but it won't be a blow out.
  15. That at least makes a little more sense, the original rumor had the D-Backs prospect(s) going to New York.
  16. Why in the [expletive] would the Tigers want Phil Coke? Why in the [expletive] are the Yankees getting prospects back?
  17. Ugh, that deal is horrible for the Diamondbacks. They better be receiving extra quality prospects if they're giving up Scherzer. His salary and team control probably makes him the most valuable player listed. Agreed. I wouldn't trade Scherzer alone for Jackson and Kennedy.
  18. Reports are Braves will look to trade Soriano, he has to approve a trade before June 15. Knowing that Hendry is looking for a vet out of the bullpen Soriano could make sense, if they aren't asking a ton for him and it's more of a salary relief move. That June 15th rule applies to guys signed as free agents, not guys retained through arbitration. Corey Patterson was traded in the same offseason after accepting arbitration, for example. Soriano accepting arbitration is him being signed as a free agent.
  19. You mean Frank Martin, who has led them to 3rd in the Big 12 in 07-08, and 4th last year? You mean Frank Martin who has a 50-25 (.666) career record as a head coach? Yeah, he's horrible. Also, Ole Miss is getting 27 votes in the coaches poll and is #25 in the AP. KSU has beaten Dayton and Wazzu, plays Xavier tonight and UNLV on Saturday. Hell, Louisville lost to Charlotte this year. What's your point on Ole Miss? My point is, Ole Miss isn't very good at basketball and Frank Martin is a boob.
  20. Oh, this is only the 800th time I've seen this idea posted.
  21. And Jose Hernandez was traded for Ramirez, so he wasn't a fill-in 3B.
  22. Saito too. Now if they could just fill in that gap they have at end of the bullpen stopper.
