I agree that a football championship shouldn't be at dumpy Soldier Field. The basketball tournament should absolutely be in the UC. It's bush league to go to Indy, but we've had this argument before and everyone from Indiana swears it's the greatest, and everyone else says it makes the Big Ten look bad.

I can't think of one. And I agree. A lot of people said that about Penn State but that turned out well. Trouble is they shouldn't add a school like Missouri. Penn State football was a huge addition. Syracuse basketball and Notre Dame football are the only additions that will mean anything to the conference.

Based on strictly viewing offensive production? I have to admit, I was surprised to see Holliday with a CAREER OPS of .932. That is pretty nice. He did spend all but 1 of his years in Coors.

I think our best hope is that Sandberg is like Ozzie Guillen in that he says all this braindead stuff then doesn't really follow through with it in his managing. If he's not a maniacal prick, that'd be nice too

I'd argue that if you consider Holliday a premium talent, then Aramis is as well.

Pierre had his best season in 5 years last year. I don't see him as likely to repeat. And Guillen is likely to compound this mistake by batting him 1 all year vs. righties.
