Regarding the (sort of) benchings. Did they state a specific reason on the telecast (I was at a bar with no sound)? My best guess is Weber saw what a nightmare things were when he let Pruitt dictate things without punishment(sans his 1 game suspension) and decided last year that he wasn't taking anything. Maybe DMac blew up after the Gonzaga game, and this was his punishment. Maybe he didn't like DJ's effort the past few games. Maybe Weber just wanted something to get the team's attention. Or maybe you're right and he's being dumb and playing the guys that dive on the floor rather than the guys that win games. I think they're all reasonable theories, I don't see why you think it's likely that yours is correct strictly because he didn't start McCamey until midway through his freshman year. Is there another example of a guy who was glued to the bench despite being a clearly better player? I'm drawing a blank. I don't understand where these thoughts about Richmond not playing next year are coming from. He started 2 freshman from the word go this year, if Richmond shows up ready to go, he'll play. I'm not sure he'll start (coming to a team with 5 returning starters), but he's going to get serious minutes barring a Royce White situation.
