If I have to take a bath on my gambling habit tonight, then UNC fans better at leas have the decency to rush the court so I can see what that bald prick has to say.

We really don't have much of a choice right now but to run DMac out there for 35 minutes/game. (He's averaging ~37 in Big Ten play) The offense just doesn't move without him out there. Unless a player is looking to shoot, they just stand there waiting for DMac to take the ball back from him. I'm comfortable that by next year, one of DJ or Bertrand will have the confidence to run the show (or Paul will have the patience to run it), but for now we're lifeless without him. We basically have to keep doing stuff like last night, getting him out of there with ~8:20 left, and get him an extended breath while only being out of the game for 45 seconds.

There are some lines that look crazy out there today(so they're probably exactly right). Northwestern is only a 3 point favorite at Iowa City. Duke is only a 5.5 point favorite at UNC.

The 2nd half defense was incredible last night. Great help defense every time there was penetration. Getting up and challenging the shooter at the perimeter, just a great vintage Illinois defensive effort. Wisconsin scored 3 points from the 9:57 mark til a late game 3 pointer with 17 seconds. This still amazes me.

i think we need one more big ten win and then a win in the btt, or two big ten wins. they can't keep us out at 11-7, i don't recall it happening, but that could be me. 11 wins usually gets you in, but I seem to think Penn St. had 11 last year and missed out. That Utah game is gonna haunt us. Penn St. was 10-8 last year. Agreed on that [expletive] Utah loss.

If we keep that up, we'll be dancing. Even if you guys fall to Wisconsin, I have a hard time seeing Northwestern missing the tournament if they can beat everybody else on their remaining schedule. I don't even think we have to necessarily beat Minnesota either. Assuming we lose to Minny and Wisconsin but beat everyone else, we'd finish 22-9 overall and 10-8 in the Big10. That should be enough. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here :-) I could see them making it, but that would leave their only wins over tourney teams being Purdue and maybe Illinois. It could also put them as low as 7th in the Big Ten pecking order depending on how Illinois and Minnesota's seasons played out. I can't see them taking 7 Big Ten teams.
