  1. Illinois is 23rd in the country (1st in the Big Ten) at opponent's 3 point % 40% of their opponent's field goal attempts are 3s (14th highest in the country.) I don't agree with sulley that OSU is a bunch of chuckers, but his rants aren't without merit.
  2. Davis shredded OSU's zone last year.
  3. Ohio St missed like 3 shots that entire game. I have a hard time even being upset. That was awful though. And Iowa sucks. Purdue too. And nobody cares about Ball St. (except for NCCubFan, but only his 8th favorite team)
  4. What? Didn't he only play there two years? I should rephrase, his number wasn't retired it was just an honored player like we unveiled last year with those 25 or so players. Still though, Joe Forte???
  5. If they ever get healthy, they'll be scary, but they're [expletive] old so I'm not exactly counting on it.
  6. What's there to complain about? You get to see every Big Ten basketball game, all football games, everything is in HD and this year they've really stepped up their programming during the week. The nightly shows during football season were fantastic. The only negative is that it causes some poor start times. Tom Hamilton, Thom Brennaman and Mike Hall. That and charging for the online streams. It was bad enough that I had to watch some games on a shitty feed on my laptop, but now they charge 3 bucks per game. Don't get me wrong, it's great to have nearly every Big Ten football/basketball game available, but in case you didn't notice, I like complaining.
  7. I'm shocked the Bum isn't considering women's lacrosse equally to basketball. Haven't you ever heard of title IX? Also, Northwestern's endowment is 2nd in the Big Ten to Michigan. The next closest to them is Minnesota at 3.7 Billion less. I'm sure Northwestern's basketball program is losing at least 3.5 Billion alone.
  8. Freakin Mizzou. Can't you losers do anything right??
  9. The Pitt player was pretty clearly out of bounds (right in front of the referee) right before they hit the game tying 3 in regulation. West Virginia got screwed. I still don't understand how this Pitt team lost to Indiana.
  10. Carolina retired Joe Forte's #??
  11. I still hate Dave Kaplan
  12. No it won't. He was a terrible baserunner, and a terrible fielder at the easiest position on the field, which he didn't even play for half his career. He was an incredible hitter, and should be a hall of famer, but if you're going to differentiate between 1st ballot and not, then he shouldn't get in on the 1st ballot.
  13. If the Celtics wouldn't trade Allen for them, why would they trade Allen for the Bulls's assorted collection of garbage?
  14. There's nothing wrong with holding different positions to a different offensive standard. If you're going to use 1st ballot as a special qualification, I can buy the argument that Thomas shouldn't go in his first year, and would probably support it.
  15. How is that out-Pujolsing him?
  16. He wouldn't go 1st ballot even if he was on a crappy ballot like this year's.
  17. Probably because he doesn't have the money to over-spend on mediocrity anymore.
  18. I voted Minnesota with my 2nd vote, but that's only because the poll didn't allow me to vote for Indiana twice.
  19. I don't believe the Big Ten would go for that. I want to say that was rumored about Notre Dame for awhile, and the Big Ten made it known they wouldn't share a school with another conference.
  20. It's a form of football in the NFL offseason, so I'll watch. I don't understand this sentiment. No matter how shitty the football, you'll watch it cause it's football?
  21. As much as I complain about the Big Ten Network, what a incredible success that network has been. Jim Delaney should be knighted.
  22. Shns, what kind of power does the Texas baseball program have within the Atheltic Department? I can't imagine the defending champs are thrilled with the prospect of winning all their conference games by 25.
  23. You already have a lucky win over Illinois, don't get greedy
  24. OK. I already thought of Texas as all those things, but if they aren't then those would be good reasons. I don't mean to disparage Texas. They are one of the best public universities in the country, but there's always room for improvement. The membership in the CIC is a big deal. The increase in revenue wouldn't be pocket change, the Big Ten is a financial juggernaut, and no other conference is close, especially not the Big XII. The only real cons to this move for Texas are athletic, and even they aren't overwhelming enough to definitely shoot it down. It's a matter of giving up on rivalries with schools they've dominated forever, and clearing it past the Texas legislature. (Can they really shoot this down?)
