He also played in a much better offensive environment than Smith did. Smith was also a great base stealer, stealing nearly 200 more bases than Vizquel while getting caught stealing less than Omar. -

No, you said IU and Purdue can't be in the same division because they're clearly the best two teams historically in the Big Ten. It was dumb enough on the surface, without even getting into the fact that you felt we just had to keep them separate because Purdue won a a bunch of conference titles played by guys who've been dead for 30 years. Regarding Hummel, you said that he'd win it because the voters realized he was hurt and because they voted him preseason BTPOY. You also said some loopy stuff about Lewis Jackson averaging 15 points a game.

I think the stats show that we're not giving up a lot of open looks from behind the arc. It's either that or we're playing against a bunch of awful shooters. Tis may be soft and a doofus, but he still alters shots in the lane. Certainly not to the extent that teams are terrified of shooting from inside 21 feet, but it's something. I guess it could be a defensive plan to play off the weaker shooters and challenge them to shoot, but it's not like this has been a stape of Weber-coached Illinois teams. The previous high was 35.3% of attempts. Checking our nonconference schedule, it's not that we played a bunch of teams that shoot a lot of 3s (Only a couple of them even in the top 100) So what I'm saying is I have no clue.
