  1. What a [expletive] coward. He really is. The [expletive] about wanting to be the best ever, won't never happen. This [expletive] about comparing James to Jordan stops NOW. How many titles did Jordan win without Pippen again? Jordan didn't run away from his team to another team with 2 of the best players in the game after failing. And many people would argue that Pippen would never have been the same player had he never played with MJ. Those people are dumb. Pippen was an MVP candidate in the years Jordan was gone with a #2 option of Toni Kukoc or a decrepit Ron Harper. Pippen's a miserable prick, but the willingness of Bulls fans to throw him under the bus to benefit THEIR MICHAEL!!! is sad.
  2. LeBron in the second. Bosh in the third. Maybe the Bulls could finish in the top 4 in that scenario
  3. Quoting in case he chooses the Bulls
  4. *flashes back 2 years* *reads your pre-draft posts* ahh there we go Yeah I nervously searched for my posts on Beasley, thank God it was Sulley.
  5. He doesn't have a position. If he gets his head on straight he could be a great 6th man though. How is he ok to play 25 minutes a game as a 6th man without a position, but not 35 as a starter? The definition of positions in the NBA is so ambiguous, you don't really need to fall into a preset definition to be successful. As a 6th man he can be your primary offensive option on the 2nd unit. He's going up against other bench players a lot of the time. Guys like Donyell Marshall, Chris Gatling, Rodney Rogers made a great living being ambiguous 3/4 combo forwards and sparks off the bench. Lamar Odom works a lot better off the bench too. I mean where's he's going to play on Miami as a starter? If he's a 4 he'll get murdered on the glass and Bosh want a legit defensive partner down there. I'm not saying he's necessarily a fit with Miami, but in this particular situation, since LeBron is essentially a point forward, Beasley would slot as a "3" I also think it's a dubious claim to say Beasley would mostly match up with other bench players coming off the bench.

  7. I still don't get the idea of the trade exception. The way I understand it is it's like cap room for 1 season but only through a trade. I have no idea how and when they can be traded vs. not. Can anyone help me out on that?
  8. Am I the only person that still thinks Beasley can become a pretty damn good player?
  9. Boozer deal is now sign and trade with the Bulls receiving a 2nd round pick, and the Jazz receiving a monster trade exception.
  10. Detroit residents take to the street in anger at Lebron's decision!
  11. Castro is 20 and can still provide value with a SLG% that low. Derrek Lee is 34 and cannot.
  12. In Game 1 of the 2007 NBA Finals the Cavaliers started Sasha Pavlovic, Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas with Mike Brown on the bench. I think that qualifies and then some. The Heat can't afford players the caliber of 2007 Gooden, Hughes, or Ilgauskas. The Heat don't need players of that caliber.
  13. Blake Parker to therapy http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=392703&src=152
  14. Oh, OK. He has a point. People can't swear up and down that Lebron's an idiot to go back to Cleveland because they're a 20 win team without him, then say Lebron + Wade + Bosh + scrubs can't compete
  15. Those 3 are better than the Celtics 3 though. Wade is easily better than any of the 3 Celtics by himself, and he would be the 2nd best player on the Heat. They could make up for not having a Rondo on their team, but I'm sure they can get the equivalent of Perkins, Big Baby, Tony Allen, and whoever else. Really? Celts got pretty good mileage from a guy like Perkins, for example. I don't think there are guys like that just laying around for minimum money. They struck gold in Rondo; that would be a heck of a lucky stroke if the Heat also did the equivalent. Perkins put up 7 points and 5.5 boards that year. Rondo scored 3 fewer points per game and has doubled his assists since the championship season. Plus, I'd even go as far as to say: Lebron+ Wade+ Bosh > KG+ Allen+ Pierce + Rondo.. right now. I'd agree with that.
  16. There really isn't one. Hopefully Diamond has made enough of an impression where he has become option as a starter next year, Jackson and Cashner should be candidates as well but who knows what the organization is thinking. Between those 3, hopefully 2 of them can step up in case they do trade Lilly and Silva and don't bring them back. This is the reason you might want to bring Lilly back. Even if our 3 major league ready starters all flame out, you still have 5 guys currently on the roster that are starting pitchers. There is no reason to sign Lilly to some ridiculous contract just so we don't have to run the risk of actually trying out our minor league talent.
  17. Where does Rondo fit in? Rondo in '08 wasn't that great. He took some big leaps in '09 and especially '10.
  18. They put it up for auction and a C. Nosure won the exclusive rights.
  19. Re: Celtics Lebron/Wade/Bosh is pretty clearly better than Pierce/KG/Allen. Complementary pieces be damned, that team is the team to beat
  20. What would minny want in exchange? Something stupid no doubt
  21. I can't believe he'd call Rose a better 2nd banana than Paul Pierce '08.
  22. Would you still hope that primadonna never wins a title?
  23. If it's Cleveland, he's been a real douche about it... Of course, I guess he's pretty much been a douche about it no matter who it ends up being...but still. What a way to string a team/community/city/state along. I think they'd forgive him.
