  1. It's not the player's fault if the training staff and management team is willfully ignorant.
  2. Man, most people are really stupid.
  3. So If Jordon in his prime went to play with Isiah, Magic, or Bird you wouldn't have a problem with it? Great players have their own team and identity. It's like Bird joining Magic in their prime. I can't say I would care at all. LeBron's legacy isn't tarnished by Cleveland's inability to put a second star on the team with him. Right. It's tarnished because Lebron had to pair up with another great in their prime to get a ring. What greats do that? Kobe forced Shaq out because he wanted to be in charge of his own team. Create his own legacy. Sorry, if you don't understand that but people and players respect that. Maybe Jordan should've forced Pippen out. Some legacy MJ, not too surprising that Jordan fell on his face in Washington without Pippen at his side.
  4. Who had him arriving in 2010? That was incredibly dumb. BA did after the 2008 season. Why would they do that? He had about a week in low A ball by then. Did they just know the Cubs would promote him at the first sign of success? He should have been almost all of 2009 in Peoria, and then almost all of 2010 in Daytona. The earliest he should have seen AA is late this year, and the majors never should have been on the radar. Once you're in AA majors is on the radar
  5. You're right, that is a bad analogy
  6. I don't know if he still does ESPN TV ever but Jon Sciambi is awesome. Add in his eviscerating of that prick Bissinger on his radio show, and he's pretty much the coolest guy in sports. Except for maybe TT when he gets all ragey like he does in this thread. Scully IS annoying.
  7. Who is going to provide these resources to build a new stadium?
  8. If Lebron came to Chicago and didn't win a title this year the meatball outrage would have been epic. Guy probably doesn't even like Root beer
  9. Rose has all the tools needed to be an elite defender. A lot of being good defensively comes from the desire and willingness to play it. Noah's a strong defender but he'll struggle against the really big guys like Dwight Howard. Yeah, Rose will probably wind up an above average defender when it's all said and done
  10. When was Ichiro a free agent? For all we know he just misspelled Pujols.
  11. And after this short commercial break, THE FIRST PITCH!!
  12. Did anyone make fun of Chris Rose yet for calling David Price David Wright?
  13. LMAO at Joe Buck's hair. Dick Enberg is laughing at your dye job.
  14. The guy in the wheelchair was hogging Mauer to himself. What a dick.
  15. Ok, the Bulls will definitely finish ahead of the Bobcats
  16. I wonder if they'll hold to the no SWAC & MEAC in the opening round rule
  17. I hear he does a killer Jack Buck impression Yeah it's dead on.
  18. Yeah, they're really putting Thibodeaux's wizardry to the test if it's gonna be Redick/Korver and Rose as perimeter defenders. I think my biggest concern at this point is with the team they've assembled to this point, Noah is going to play about 20 mins a game due to foul trouble. They still need some kind of a backup option at center, and hopefully a solid defensive option at guard. EDIT: Although I do like how the Redick deal is structured, since the Bulls had cap space to play with and the Magic don't. Even if Orlando matches, they're paying over 14 million for Redick this year. I'm guessing Asik is the backup plan at center
  19. Might want to compare Jones's #s in '07 to Corey's #s in '04. This was while Corey played better defense. And I liked Jones.
  20. Yeah, they're really putting Thibodeaux's wizardry to the test if it's gonna be Redick/Korver and Rose as perimeter defenders.
  21. Are you kidding me, SSR? Gimme a break. I didn't say Rose was better, all I said was Rose wasn't a "worse point guard." If you are talking about "worse point guard" I assume you are talking about guys like Toney Douglas, Baron Davis, Andre Miller, Rajon Rondo, Jameer Nelson, etc. Derrick is a step behing Deron, just like Deron is a step behind Chris Paul, but Derrick has the talent to at least reach Deron Williams status, if not surpass it. I agree with you completely. You agree with what??? That you too don't understand the definition of worse?
  22. I've heard Deng/Gibson and a conditional 1st (I would assume Top 3 type protection) to Philly for Iggy and either Kopano or Green. I would do that trade with the re-signing Miller in mind. Isn't Iguadola just a healthier Deng? And those other 2 are just guys. I don't really understand the point.
