  1. Hopefully the studio was firebombed
  2. Fred really loves that joke
  3. I'm excited to watch the Reds fail in the playoffs.
  4. Sounds dirty
  5. Yankees games are the worst thing on television because Michael Kay is the announcer. Baseball is awesome.
  6. I agree 100%. I'll never understand people who tune out in September just because their team is eliminated. I gotta be honest. I'm Cubs fan more than a baseball fan. That's why. I don't watch teams outside of the Cubs very often at all, unless they somehow impact the Cubs chances. But even outside of that, 162 games is a long freaking haul if it ends up not mattering in the end. I have better, more enjoyable things I'd rather be doing than watching meaningless, bad baseball. Hope you weren't watching any godawful preseason NFL
  7. We're part of the vast media conspiracy against Kentucky, what do you expect?
  8. So we've hurt Garcia, damaged Wainwright's Cy Young chances and hurt Carpenter. This is what we call a success
  9. Molina made a horrible throw. The steal was off a hit and run that Z swung through. Yadi doesn't make horrible throws. Probably the fielders fault. YADIYADIYADIYADI
  10. So once most of our good players are off the payroll, we should be ready to contend.
  11. I don't think Williams is better than an HIV negative Hillenmeyer
  12. He went on to say he has had a couple blowups but what really hurt him is that he didn't pitch well for a year and a half. Can somebody tell me when this year and a half of not pitching well took place? Probably cause he only had 9 wins last year.
  13. I considered banning him on the spot when I saw it. Re-consider.
  14. Well, maybe we can cost Wainwright a cy young award
  15. Foster/Matthews, Garcon, Rice/Moreno
  16. Sneaky, maybe you should be angry at butterfingers Johnson instead.
  17. I'd like to see the Packers go after Lewis Tillman
  18. I seem to recall Pena being a buffoon
  19. Wonder what the Pats would want for Maroney.
  20. Dob, What's changed in the past 2 years to turn you against Calipari? It's not like anything's changed about him, he's the same guy he was at Memphis, what did you expect?
  21. Completely guessing: Foster, Bowie, Downs(although intuition tells me Garland). EDIT: Not even close. Well, Downs was close, but that's it. EDIT2: What's the threshold, 180 IP? I can only find 1 guy in 1998. These are the three I found with at least 179 that year: farnsworth: 184 IP (102.2 at Iowa, 81.1 at West Tenn) brian mcnichol: 179 IP at West Tenn phil norton: 186.1 IP (120.1 at West Tenn, 66 at Daytona) McNichol had 7 IP at Iowa.
  22. Didn't mean to attribute it to you, it's why I added the *snip*
  23. Last time the Cubs had it happen was 1998 when they had 3 guys do it. One still active, one with less than 100 major league innings, one with a small cup of coffee. Any guesses?
  24. That's missing the point entirely. It's not that Aramis could receive more money on an annual basis. It's that he could receive one last long-term contract in case next year is all 1st 2 months, and no strong finish.
