Honestly, that's part of what I love about Jay Cutler. When the media would attack Rex and his teammates would defend him, I felt like he needed that. I'm glad Jay's teammates are defending him, but I don't feel like he needs that. He's fine. I think this whole thing just kind of reinforces Jay's "I don't care what anyone else thinks" attitude. Yep, this whole ordeal makes me love Cutler even more.

Yeah, I thought MSU was overrated coming into the season; Morgan was really good for them, and they were only a 5 seed in the tourney (23 in Pomeroy after the tourney), but damn I didn't think they'd look like this. It's not the losses that would concern me if I were an MSU fan. Their worst loss is @ PSU who has proven themselves capable in B10 play (win against Illinois, 1 possession losses @OSU and @PU). But their close wins are problematic. (Needing a miracle to take Bucky to OT. Needing OT to beat NU at home. 1 possession win over Oakland)

Somebody's gotta take Appling's minutes. He was already playing ~20 minutes/game, so he can't pick up. I don't think MSU was going to beat OSU in Columbus anyway, but if they were going to do it, they needed Lucious to wake up.

Weak. Good it was a cheapshot. Would it have even been helmet to helmet if Rodgers didn't turn his head into him? I say Rodgers initiated the contact, and he should be fined.

That's a lot of roster cuts, gray shirts, and bogus medical hardships. KU and Ole Miss were the two finalists for a JUCO QB named Zack Stoudt this year. Nutt promised the kid he wouldn't take any more QBs this year, so he ended up going with Ole Miss. Three weeks later, Ole Miss took another QB. Stoudt was reportedly furious, but since he came in at semester, he was locked in at Ole Miss. I honestly don't know how coaches get away with stuff like that. You'd think they'd start to build a reputation for oversigning and being dishonest, but I guess not. I'd imagine the kids in these situations would always be painted as the jilted lover, and not be taken seriously. Oooh, the little punk's afraid of a little competition? If you're not good enough for the SEC that's not our problem son.

How often do you see Bears jerseys at Cubs games? Fairly often. Certainly every time I am at Wrigley I note at least a couple Bears jersey/hats. Depending on how they're doing -- or expected to do -- at the time. I expect there will be plenty on display this year. Well these people are doofuses

That was much more befuddling to me than the Purdue demolition. Top-10 Cuse getting blitzed at home by mediocre Seton Hall? Andy, you know better than anyone there is no mediocre in the Big East. Only good, very good, and excellent.
