    After yesterday's game, the Cubs have 0 starting pitchers with ERA+ above 100(besides Cashner's 5.1 innings) They only have 6 pitchers total with ERA+ above 100 and I'm not sure I would've guessed one of them with 15 guesses.

    The problem with the "but if they do get taken they'll likely get sent back" is that, for the most part, the guys that you get back are the guys that you don't want and the guys you don't get back are the only guys you'd really miss. I.e. "Oh, PITT is sending Lake back, they've decided he's crap" vs. "Oh, crap. Look at what Lake is doing for PITT." The Cubs recent history says otherwise.     Charles Gipson was who was picked off 1B by Borowski. He was in Cubs camp in Spring Training that same year.

    Expanding the DH is an interesting topic. I've read several places this season that more players than not HATE to DH and would rather play the field as well. That makes me cautiously optimistic that the damn thing will be gone within my lifetime. Players are idiots. There is no chance of the DH being gone in your lifetime. There is an infinitely higher chance that it's adopted by the NL. If there's no chance of it being gone, then by definition there's an infinitely higher chance of it being adopted by the NL

    I'm not sure Baker is much of an issue either. He's got like the 2nd or 3rd highest OPS on the team. You are missing the point, they both will probably become issues when they play everyday. Nothing in their past suggests they will continue to be productive when they play everyday. I find it hard to believe the Cubs can't find someone better than Reed Johnson and Tony Campana to play CF, especially with the history of back problems for Johnson. You mean right now? Where do you think we're hiding a good CF at? It's too soon for Jackson.

    Johnson's not the issue, him and Campana are the only CFs on the roster, and Campana kinda sucks.

    He's 21, it's still early to write off his ceiling as that low IMO

    42 games at 3B compared to 21 at 1B. 2 of the 15 errors were at 1B.
