  1. Who are you basing that on? I just don't see what he could be basing it off of, this is the first group of kids that he has had and they are just now seniors. All three, including Nunn, improved a lot in their time at Champaign. Tate is the 4th, and he's definitely regressed, but I hardly think he's great evidence of failure to develop.
  2. And Schiano reported it to Bradley too ayeeeeeeeee
  3. Who are you basing that on?
  4. Duvall?
  5. Don't go to the Nisei Lounge.
  6. That said, the Celtics were pretty clear examples of an NBA team that was successful thanks to intentional tanking. Ainge even adapted to not getting the draft pick they were looking for and turned their tank assets Allen and Garnett.
  7. Additionally, in baseball you only need to be in the top 1/3 of the league to have a legit chance at winning it all. In basketball teams on the backend of the top ten are said to be stuck in NBA hell.
  8. Of course, in the last 10 years: NBA - 7 MLB - 6 NFL - 9 The goal should never be to become the amorphous blob of 28 team parity (with 4 consistently shitty teams) that is the NFL. ETA: Even can cut it to 22 years, and you have still have 10 NBA teams and 11 MLB teams. Like this is a really weird argument to make when there have been 4 unique champs in a row, and 6 of the last 7 have been by unique teams.
  9. somebody name that pitcher without looking it up Juan Cruz is the obvious guess, so I'll say Sergio Mitre.
  10. I'd expect Collins to bat his guy in a prime spot. Maybe swap Cespedes and Posey.
  11. Solid upgrade at the PG position.
  12. Do the Bulls have any players that are friends with those guys? More importantly, this creepy weirdo is gone: http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/976011/d-rose-dance.gif Bulls fans loved that so much in the moment. He's not here to dance and have fun, he only cares about winning LBJ! Gah, beaten to the punch twice on this.
  13. Gotta say, knowing how unlikely this is to work and all the times we've seen it fail, it's still a wayyy more likely path to a superstar than "blow it up and draft one." http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/what-exactly-are-the-bulls-doing-waiting-for-2017-or-bust/ Having a garbage team and cap room worked out splendidly last time. ETA: Well splendidly for me at least.
  14. An important minority of Celtics fans understand
  15. God is angry. We made a false idol out of this Joe Maddon.
  16. So when this works out, do the Orioles start putting restrictions on where players they let go can sign like college basketball teams?
  17. Hendricks 4-4 2.84 ERA Eickhoff 2-8 3.93 ERA The Phillies have finally realized they're terrible and Eickhoff spells Jerad like that. GO CUBS
  18. Slim pickings in AL Catchers there, Sal Perez seems to be the default choice. Also he may or may not be dead, like how the Royals position players are dropping like flies He didn't mean "leads the AL catchers" He leads all players in votes If you have no competition at your position, you'd be more likely to be the leading votegetter.
  19. Did you mean to post that here? I didn't know where else to put it.
  20. How long has that fantastic message on the banner been there?
  21. If you change it to minimum 2 IP for the last 5 years, the leader is Chris Davis.
  22. Once again, the conservative Rich Hill heavy portfolio pays off for the shersey investor.
  23. Cubs-Yankees game 3-4 years ago, I was down the LF line, and a Yankee fan in the bleachers held up a sign for about 2/3 of the game telling Jeter it was her 25th(Some number) birthday, taunting most of the sparse crowd around her with it. I yelled out "I hope it's your last birthday."
  24. A part of it is awful weather and a bigger part of it, I think, is dynamic pricing (as fewer tickets are available, the price to buy them from the team goes up). It might cost them some sell outs but likely is still more profitable, assuming having a few less butts in the seats doesn't offset that with profits lost on concessions and crap. I don't think I realized that was a thing until I was trying to figure out face value for this past Saturday and saw $79 tickets for Friday bleachers. It makes logical sense, but damn, that's gotta be more than 2x.
