  1. I'm in a knockout pool - 1 pick per day, can't pick the same team twice, last one standing wins. So far I've used up Kentucky, Xavier, Iowa State and Maryland. Today I picked Oklahoma. 3 out of 6 left, took KU, OK, and Nova. We really need Virginia to win tomorrow because we've exhausted Iowa State in each of the remainings.
  2. I've got 2 out of 2 left. Oklahoma(originally VCU) tonight, haven't seen the final spread but it looks -2.5 or 3.5 Syracuse tomorrow currently sitting +4.
  3. Huh? It was an escape clause in the event of absurdly poor attendance, wasn't it? yep The voiding of the clause you dopes.
  4. Yup. IIRC all parties involved decided it wouldn't work at all if they went that direction and changed it to her continuing to be a villain. That ending makes a lot more sense though. If she was really trying to lose why not trade Vaughn, Dorn etal. for prospects that would be ready in a couple years after they had moved the team? Plus, once they started winning enough games to get into contention that would have already voided the clause about moving the team for falling below X attendance level. I believe the clause required something like a horsefeathers ton of sellouts down the stretch.
  5. That is very specific. Apropos of nothing, if anybody knows a woman named Carol they'd like to set me up with that'd be great.
  6. I think they used up that narrative on Coach K
  7. It was a dumb question, Yale is an exceptional rebounding team
  8. Hi, I'm sports broadcast from the 90's. Pleasure to meet you

  10. Saying this as somebody who had Tulsa as my last team in prior to their pants-pissing performance against Memphis, those 5 tourney teams don't tell the entire story. None were seeded higher than 9, Wichita is a play-in game, Iona is an automatic qualifier, and Temple only isn't drawing ire from being in because Tulsa is.
  11. I usually find college football offseason talk exhausting other than head coach changes, but Illinois just took Louisville's OC who turned down the same job at OK last year. This is crazy.
  12. I'll admit to not having followed them all that closely this year but all 3 of the rankings bukie linked to in the OP, especially kenpom have them amongst the top 25ish teams in the country. Kenpom has them 11th kenpom loves WSU. But their tournament resume is pretty bad. Here are their numbers using both RPI and KENPOM vs RPI Top- 25: 1-0 50: 1-4 75: 1-5 100: 4-7 101-200: 8-1 201-300: 7-0 vs 301+: 4-0 best RPI wins: 8, at 84, at 89 worst RPI losses: at 121, vs 84, at 84 SOS rank: #107 vs KenPom Top- 25: 1-1 50: 1-3 75: 1-4 100: 4-7 101-200: 11-1 201-300: 6-0 vs 301+: 2-0 best KenPom wins: 25, at 76, 76 worst KenPom losses: at 115, 90, at 81 SOS Rank: #115 Only one top 75 win using either metric. Only 4 top 100 wins using either metric. Not sure the MVC is a two bid league, personally. Don't see much that dazzles me on that resume. Looks like they feasted on a ton of cupcakes. That said, I don't follow all of cbb closely enough to really participate in this kind of thing, so maybe that's actually a strong resume this year. I'd assumed a team with barely any legit wins in a weak league that they won't win would be on the outside looking in. If I can find enough time, I'm going to rally to kick them out...That said there probably won't be enough bid stealers for them to not just backdoor their way back in. At that point their competition for me is the A10 mess at the top(which I have a feeling will play its way out) and the B1G and P12 also-rans
  13. Still need to work through my Part 4, but here's what I'm working with. This bubble, ugh. 1) Illinois 2) 3)
  14. Valpo lost to Green Bay tonight, looking closer at their resume, they may have played their way out.
  15. If you're listed as last 4 in before this one a good win or two in the conference tournament might get you in Yeah that's the thing though. We've had 3 "win and were in " games already. Sure we could beat Indiana in the 2nd round but we could just as easily lose to NW Northwestern isn't any good.
  16. Interesting maybe only to me: Stetson is banned from the tournament due to APR, but are still allowed to participate in the ASun tourney. The rules state if they win the tourney, the regular season champ gets the bid. So if North Florida and Stetson both win on Thursday, North Florida will clinch the bid, and the championship game will mean nothing.
  17. 2 tourneys started today in the Atlantic Sun and Patriot. Neither with at-large potentials, but North Florida at least has potential to be a 14 seed type off the top of my head. America East, Northeast, and Ohio Valley start tomorrow, with the Northeast winner likely headed to a 16 seed, and if it's not Wagner, seems a lock for a play-in game. Handful of teams from AE and OVC who could get as high as 14. Not to much in terms of potential bid thieves this week other than Wichita, and then YMMV on St. Mary's, Gonzaga, BYU, Valpo, and Monmouth.
  18. I have a hard time seeing Kansas missing on a 1 seed. Same for Nova If they beat GTown, They should be able to survive a BE Tourney loss as long as it's not to DePaul.
  19. I'd contribute during the week, but am leaving for Vegas that Thursday around 3.
  20. Starting to think my 200:1 bet on Michigan winning it all isn't going to pay off.
  21. Top of my head the AL doesn't have any truly awful teams to beat up(Maybe the Twins?), whereas the NL has them in spades.
  22. He also said 10 years when talking about that.
  23. What was this foul now?
