Fact is a 24 year old likely isn't thinking he's going to die while doing this, especially since they had done it before. And they said he wasn't driving so even if he was drinking it's not the same as what Taveres did. Well, I'm guessing Taveras didn't think he was going to die while doing what he did either. That's an odd defense. -

I've gotta say, I'm pretty surprised to hear that you're choosing a Kanye concert over a Cubs playoff game David. Especially this Cubs team. kanye concerts happen every few years. there will be many playoff games. especially silly division series ones. made these plans and bought the tickets months ago and i'm not gonna bail on a group of 7 other people like some kind of weirdo because i have to watch a baseball game. It's a group of 7 people, they'll be fine. If the NLDS goes 5, I will most certainly be bailing on a concert with 1 other person.

As opposed to all the ways we get knocked out of the playoffs that you won't lose your [expletive] mind? there's just something about the idea of this guy being good for the cubs for like 15 months or whatever A DECADE AGO, then mysteriously being good again as an old man and beating the best cubs team ive ever seen that would be especially infuriating. Ugh I can handle like 1 strikeout looking on that curveball before I'd turn it off.

wait what To be fair to the Diamonbacks they had to play the 90 win Rockies and 89 win Padres 19 times each. Meanwhile the Cubs played in the NL Central. I wouldnt say that the Cubs were "on paper" better than Arizona. It is debatable who was better on paper. The only team the Cubs were far and away better than "on paper" of the last 4 playoff losses was the 2008 Dodgers. I forgot how shitty the Dodgers record was that year. Blech.
