  1. I'm not gonna [expletive] you Bob.
  2. Jones
  3. Maybe he was thinking of Iowa. Did you go to Iowa?
  4. I thought Yeti wasn't allowed cross state lines anyway.
  5. Vandy can finally win its division.
  6. Why? It doesn't put one team at a disadvantage. You'd rather they play all 4 games in primetime? Considering one of the games was in Arizona, I don't think it'd be the worst thing to have two 1 PM or two 7 PM starts. I assume you're talking local times? Why not fill a full day with baseball rather than 6+ hours? Why schedule half the games which will be played in their entireties times when most of the country is working?
  7. Dropouts and GEDs
  8. Is there any sort of logic behind what they're saying? Or just standard B&B-ery
  9. If he was really a good teammate the Cubs would be winning.
  10. No, I do not agree with Bob on that at all. Aramis and Sori have been whipping boys and targets when there are far better guys to go after on this team. Who is a better target? These are the highest priced veterans expected to lead the club. Accepting an elite salary brings with it higher expectations and more criticism for failure. Excrement.
  11. It's ok to admit that they are in trouble. They likely will be paying Z to play elsewhere so they will need to find three 2 and possibly 3 SP. They are paying Soriano lots of money to play near replacement level. Even if they pay Zambrano to play elsewhere, and pay Soriano to be replacement level (which he certainly isn't right now, but you claimed he was in 2010 too, so who knows) that puts us about equal payroll wise with the rest of the division. To go to the playoffs next year? No they don't. Marlon Byrd That malady being...? "Game changer" is a nonsense phrase. Brett Jackson will be starting every day in CF sooner than later, and they'd have to try to not shake out an average 2B from the upper levels/Barney. Not it doesn't, and no there isn't.
  12. That pretty much sums up Gammons post-stroke.
  13. More Wins, Les Walrond.
  14. Lucchino is terrific at building winning organizations? He had no playoff appearances with Baltimore and a fluky WS appearance (and sweep) with the Padres. He hasn't won [expletive] without Theo.
  15. Does DeVry have a football team? They might put up a decent fight against this year's Mizzou team.
  16. I'm sure Buzz Bissinger was yukking it up at that one.
  17. http://cheesesteakswithbarkley.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/tony-larussa-eye.jpg Never gets old.
  18. Why? It doesn't put one team at a disadvantage. You'd rather they play all 4 games in primetime?
  19. Every so often you come up with a good one. =D> =D> I think he's only truly fallen flat the one time He came down hard.
  20. Some of the Sawx fans are tearing Epstein apart in the comments. Come where you're loved Theo!!
  21. How is it possible that these guys are unaware of the fact that you can't trade draft picks in baseball? You act like he's been writing about baseball for 30 years or something.
  22. Great reference gramps. I like Castillo more than most, and think compensation for any of the GMs being mentioned is a joke...but sure. No on Jackson. Trading Byrd leaves us kind of screwed for next year unless we can dump Z or Soriano's contract. Less dramatic means more dramatic? Just no.
