    I wonder if Shipley is too high up for them to allow him to jump, he's who I'd like most in that front office. It's hard to know without knowing who was a Theo guy and who was a Lucchino guy as far as who would even want to jump.

    Not interesting at all. Ricketts is the owner and I'm sure he has to convince Theo on his plans and direction of the team. He's talking about the compensation. I see. Well that's down right scary. What the hell does Ricketts know about players values? Maybe more than Randy Bush.

    It's barely ever benefitted us in the past, and we don't need it from now on because we have Theo. So variance can suck it. Agreed. Variance can suck it now. We have the resources and the management to be the Yankees/Red Sox of the NL, without another behemoth in the same league, let alone the same division. Wrap your head around that [expletive]. I'm chafing.

    I get emotionally invested in the playoffs but, in a rational sense, barely care about them. That was arguably the best team in baseball and definitely the best team in the NL and I still look back on that year very fondly. I don't. Those playoffs were embarrassing. I will bust on your face.

    I still can't believe that Columbus can hold two pro sports teams. It's a bad TV market, but it's the biggest state capitol in the country. Our (metro) population is bigger than Memphis, Charlotte, Detroit, Baltimore, Boston, DC, Nashville, Denver, Milwaukee, St. Louis..... The area around the stadium is fantastic. I hope they thrive.
