  1. Lots of dumb fouls tonight.
  2. Yep, no difference between Dodger Stadium and Miller Park. Their defense was very similar too
  3. Ideal http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine/_/factor/wins/results/311124008~1~311127020~2~311204019~1~311201026~1~311204002~1~311204018~1~311211010~1~311211009~2~311211006~1~311218012~1~311124033~1~311204025~2~311211022~1~311218016~1~311224002~2~311218007~1~311211004~1~311211028~1~311204034~1~311204017~2~311204005~1~311225009~2~320101019~1~320101034~2~320101004~1~320101005~1~320101009~2~320101017~2~311222011~2~311224033~2~311224023~2~311224004~2~311226018~2~311224026~1~311218003~2~311218013~1~311204015~1~311127030~1
  4. 2 voters for each team, rotates every year.
  5. He's been worse than Tarvaris Jackson, Donovan McNabb and Kerry Collins this year. And I don't see anybody scrambling to sign Collins. He's barely been better than Tim Tebow, for Theo's sake. I'd much rather have Tebow.
  6. It'd be especially shameful since Jurkin helped bring in Perea.
  7. Mike likes to write invite. Yeah, wtf.
  8. Also, if this doesn't take effect until 2013, there won't be many top HS kids going to college this year.
  9. Then Theo rips off Selig's toupee and slams it against the wall while laughing maniacally like in Liar, Liar
  10. I love this thing. If the team higher ranked in defense wins every game the rest of this year... Broncos finish 10-6 and win AFC West Lions finish 13-3 and get the #2 seed Packers lose out and get the 5th seed at 10-6 Seattle is the 6th seed at 9-7. I'm assuming Bears at 9-7 losing the tiebreaker to Seattle and on outside looking in. There's a tiebreaker button you can click to show you how those shake out.
  11. Maybe he should spend less time with Kristin Cavaliri and more time with the surgeon
  12. Most sensible thing in this thread, possibly the entire board.
  13. Not sure I'm following him there. Small market teams get money from Yankees and Red Sox and they are forced to spend it, but this system won't allow them to spend it wisely, on their system. How so, though? They still have to spend it on players. And players are lining up to go to shithole teams all the time.
  14. But what are you scouting and developing? What's the point of building infrastructure and academies in Latin America if you are only allowed $40 on your Intl budget?
  15. Not sure I'm following him there. There was internal pressure on teams who were receiving revenue sharing and didn't have high major league payrolls. Teams like the Royals and Pirates were wisely spending a sizable amount of their budget on IFA and the draft, now the only way to spend that revenue sharing money is to sign more dumbass deals like the Pirates did for the 42 years under Littlefield.
  16. What's the % needed to push this through, 23/30 is sticking in my mind for some reason. Based on payrolls and development strategies: I can't see why the following (6) teams would vote for this: Yankees Red Sox Angels Rangers Phillies Cubs Teams who'd seem to be a tossup as far as approval: Detroit San Fran Washington Mets Cardinals This is all assuming the owners are working with a short-sighted view versus the long-term health of their franchises. I'm surprised they were able to convince 4 out of the 5 toss-ups along with every single "small-market" owner.
  17. HE BROKE THE THUMB HITTING THE BENCH, TOO MUCH OF A HOTHEAD PUT DITKA AT QB
  18. Team's guns and wallets will be the same. Which means more reliance on having the proper information about who to go after. More old guys making [expletive] up about how calm a 16 year old's eyes are.
  19. This screws small market teams. They have no margin for error now. It's easier for them to make money now.
  20. Wasn't clappyguy still recruiting someone for next year or was that class of '13?
  21. That's an even worse idea. no. Feel the pennant fever and see if the 6th place team can run down the 5th place team!! The current division races are similar to this anyway. Simply, you have a team ahead of you (in a division or not) that you need to pass to get into the playoffs. A balanced schedule is a plus as well. And as an added bonus you ensure that there will only be at most one race per league.
  22. I guess they figure the free stadium well has finally dried up so they're on to their next way to guarantee free money for billionaires.
  23. That's an even worse idea. no. Feel the pennant fever and see if the 6th place team can run down the 5th place team!! I mean who can forget that epic chase in the NBA when the Bulls passed the Raptors on the last day of the season to lock down 8th place?
  24. That's an even worse idea. no. Feel the pennant fever and see if the 6th place team can run down the 5th place team!!
  25. The players don't give a [expletive] because nothing in the deal is a negative for current players. And they still gave up way too much of their leverage to essentially eliminate draft pick compensation, and not much else. I'm surprised the miser [expletive] owners had enough numbers to pass this horseshit. This is horrendous.
