  1. You forgot football and basketball. Hell of a lot less reason for elite athletes to stick with baseball. [expletive] idiots.
  2. and he didn't yell at dan sanzenbacher for dropping 3 passes on 3rd down! born leader! no no no no: he yelled at sazenbacher the RIGHT way, off camera followed by going over the in-game film to show him where he did wrong. such a great guy. He also visited a sick kid in the hospital and promised him that he would throw 3 touchdown passes this week. But Earl Bennett has to catch one of them in his helmet.
  3. What a [expletive] nightmare
  4. Who are the ad wizards that signed off on this one?
  5. That's an even worse idea.
  6. 3 INTs is productive i think he freaks everybody out and we win the game. when i say freak out, i mean throws for 250 yards, 3 tds 1 int, and makes a couple of plays that get the meatballs all hot and bothered and talking about how he should have been starting all along. He'll also take a big hit and stay in the game, and everyone will pretend like Cutler wouldn't have. He's like a kid out there! It's a CHANGE OF CULTURE with Caleb out there.

  8. I hate this argument. It's an individual award. His team has nothing to do with it. ummm, what? Who is the most valuable player to his team? That would be Jose Bautista, unquestionably. Who's even on the Blue Jays? That team finished .500 and they had Bautista, Ricky Romero and like 4 weeks of Brett Laurie. Who's the best player? Possibly Verlander But by your own logic(well, Phil Rogers's "logic"), Bautista's value doesn't matter because the Blue Jays could miss the playoffs without him.
  9. That's what I was going for -- I did say "gives up basketball" . . . Reading is hard.
  10. Hmmm, guess you're right. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/jon_heyman/02/15/cardinals-pujols-negotiations/index.html#ixzz1eRvENns5
  11. There's a medical hardship extra year, and I believe a waiver keeping his tuition paid if he's unable to play ball, but I wasn't aware of any that allow him to continue to play without counting towards scholarship.
  12. Well EhDubya's never steered us wrong before on his predictions.
  13. It'll probably be David Williams.
  14. Not that IU is going to beat Kentucky, but I wouldn't write it off as a blowout just yet. IU played UK close into the second half the last two years before faltering, and this IU team is much better (Kentucky may be better, who knows, they're always loaded with talent so it's hard to say). Pomeroy has UK with a 75% chance of winning, but the margin of victory at only eight. But, you're without the legend of Mo Creek!
  15. I would've voted for Bautista, but the anti-pitching/anti players from really good teams is silliness. One voter didn't put Verlander in his top 10, one voter had Bautista 9th, one voter had Michael Young 1st, and one voter had Teixieria 7th. If any voter did 2 of the above things they should probably be set on fire.
  16. So figure out that Pujols is older after 5 years and void his contract.
  17. Oh man, I can't imagine the freak out if ND winds up in a BCS game.
  18. Why is everyone convinced the Lions are in?
  19. LaHair wasn't a big prospect. He was a 38th round pick, and never reached BA's top 10 Mariners prospects in any year.
  20. Why would somebody be a Northwestern fan if they didn't go there?
