It's just like a non-compete, if that non-compete applied to every decent company in the entire midwest (and east coast). And you're barely old enough to be an adult. And your company that's being dickheads just used questionable measures to get an employee into their company who had a non-compete.

more wrong that weird. we can significantly improve umpiring with relative ease. why wouldn't we do it? we can improve pitching by just using mechanical pitching machines that have pinpoint accuracy. might as well do that too. And then pretty soon you have a man marrying a horse! -

Why does LaHair have more value than Soriano with his entire contract picked up?

The difference though, is it is easier to tolerate coming from a guy making the league minimum, than it is coming from a guy making 18 mill a year, especially if they're the same offensively. Soriano is just money that would be much better off being placed elsewhere obviously. But the money is already spent. Benching Soriano for LaHair isn't going to save you any money, it'll just make you feel better about yourself.

And I don't understand how Atlanta has twice as good a chance at homecourt in round 1 when we're +1(due to tiebreaker) with 5 to play. Our schedule is harder, but not substantially so.
