Rizzo would have to be putting up about a 1400 OPS to make it necessary to bring him before June 23rd. I don't really care about Super 2 status, so sure, bring up Jackson whenever, but shy of injuries to the OF, there's really nowhere to put him until after he probably gets past super 2 status.

Third Rail. On Madison just east of Racine. I don't think they have shuttle service but there's a bar across the street, Crossroads that does. I don't know how much they pay attention, but I'd imagine you could finagle your way on to that. It's only a 20 minute walk or so.

Wasn't there talk of a deal with TB centered around Jeff Niemann or Wade Davis at one point in the offseason? I'd take it if we could get a decent prospect as well. I swear you try to trade for Wade Davis every week, and I have no idea why. -
If he's ready, I don't think you waste 2 months of big league development for super 2. Super 2 service time changes from year to year too, so it's really not worth it in my opinion.

There's not being happy about it, and there's trying to gain revenge about it. Whatever, it's a dead issue, it happened, it sucks for the Mavs, but oh well. Seeing as I'm not a Mavericks fan, I really can't be bothered to care.

Yes there will certainly be a steady stream of players going to Dallas and then quitting on the team.

Their offense has been terrible - .221/.294/.338 The offense has been the worrisome point since this team was put together. Obviously there's some cause for hopw when Brett & Rizzo are recalled, but we're in trouble until that happens. Lahair has been one of the bright spots offensively. I'm Backtobanks and I don't understand relativity.

Calling it one of their biggest wins when they've [expletive] won the title is lunacy. Hyping Rivers for COY might be even crazier. It's clearly Thibodeau or Pop. If you want to go off the board look at Vogel, Hollins, or Corbin. He's not really off-base on Bradley though.

Yes, everyone freaking out about how terrible the Cubs are because they're 1-5 are kind of missing the picture. Outside of the bullpen, (which whatever, it's a bullpen, who knows) they've actually looked good.

I'm pretty sure pitchers get hurt a lot more often pitching than they do hitting, running the bases, and fielding.

It's 52 degrees out. Samardzija is an athlete. What do you suggest he do should he get on base while he's pitching?

Having the opportunity to stretch or warmup doesn't prevent a starting pitcher from potentially getting injured while pinch running. Are there landmines in between 2nd and 3rd? Samardzija isn't exactly Jamie Moyer out there. It was much colder on Monday night than it is right now.
