  1. Assuming you've seen every inning of every Volstad start, you've seen 22 innings coming into tonight.
  2. That answer is pretty clearly wrong considering the Braves were in the West.
  3. Heading into tonight: Volstad OPS against with runners on: .985 Bases Empty: .486 Obviously there's a selection bias whereas if runners are on, odds are the pitcher doesn't have as good of stuff, but here are his career #s. Runners on: .818 Empty: .734
  4. Pushed back a day. Sounds like they're going to do that when able since he's transitioning from the pen. Pretty happy about that.
  5. Thanks videographer, love these reports.
  6. Do you think E'Twaun will get a few minutes? I might actually watch the game. Assuming Allen can't go, I'd say O/U - 7 minutes. It'll be mostly Dooling and Daniels handling the point, and Doc will probably run Bradley til he can't walk. If Allen plays, he'll be garbage time only.
  7. 1 game for Rajon
  8. Theoretically, sure. But you probably won't dominate for long without actually being pretty damn good. The Cubs should have a goal of regularly winning 95 games, not every year of course, but they shouldn't be thinking about trying to be a team that can contend within a weak division or maybe making it into the playoffs on the 2nd wild card. Plus, being a wild card isn't going to be nearly as favorable as it has in the past. They haven't given any indication that that's their plan. I'm not suggesting they have. But people talking about the crapshoot (poor description) of the playoffs and how all that matters is getting in are forgetting about the change in system going forward. There's value in being the #1 seed. The whole point of the conversation was a comment about how Garza shouldn't be retained because by the time the Cubs can win the world series it'll be 6 years from now.

  10. I hope Jordan goes the full Isiah and names himself the coach. They might not win a game.
  11. I love pretty much any Lion King reference. That's outstanding.
  12. ??? Thought the sarcasm was obvious enough. I didn't know if he's slated for surgery or something.
  13. Eleven of them, to be precise. CUBS are 14-22 (0.389) vs. Philadelphia on the road (2001-2012) For not winning a series there in 11 years, that's a pretty good record.
  14. Day to day
  15. That would be criminal
  16. Yes because bumping a ref who just called a technical foul on you, that is a smart decision. :good: There never should've been a T to begin with. He tripped over the ref's foot as he followed him on the "bump" He tripped, then took another step and bumped the ref. He could have played it off as a trip or he could have stopped his momentum. He did neither. Plus, I don't know about you, but when I'm falling, I generally stick my chest out to break the fall. You kinda do. I guess he could've grabbed the ref to break his fall, but that spaz probably would've banned him for life if he did that.

  18. Egotistical ref makes it about him. Awful.
  19. Allen out for Celtics
  20. I said the Bulls have a chance, and I called it a potential series.
  21. The entire selling point of the Bulls to anyone is Derrick Rose. You're making a pitch to a guy who plays the same position, and basing it around the fact that well, Rose won't be 100% anyway.
