  1. So...the complaint about Rizzo is that he hasn't yet been called up in the future. And Vitters should have been on the major league team in April after OPSing 770 in AA last year.
  2. Not to mention Wes Darvill at A ball
  3. (and Matusz) ??? Matudz is a third pitcher that got off to such a start and made the list, and is often referenced as a trade reclamation project. Ah, thought he was calling him a successful major leaguer
  4. Thanks a lot you stupid [expletive] assholes
  5. I will [expletive] end you.
  6. Yes, moreso, hilarious guys RDRR
  7. If the Celtics go to the finals, I'm going to look like a real [expletive] aren't I.
  8. He got to the base faster by doing that.
  9. At this point I think Cubs fans should just accept 2015 as the year to look forward to. If we somehow start competing in 2014 then that's just a bonus. Plus although this year is terrible and next year will probably be more of the same without much improvement, even if we don't compete in 2014, we should see some clear improvement during that season, as I don't believe the FO is going to open up the check book to fill any holes we might have going into 2015 if the team finishes last in the MLB in 2014. Ideally this year we finish 62-100, next year 65-97, 2014 79-83 and then compete in 2015. That's stupid.
  10. I wasn't expecting pretty much the same player this year. There's still time though.
  11. Because he was one of my favorite players and the [expletive] backwoods morons in charge completely ruined his career and called him a [expletive] for it.
  12. I heard Jordy Hulls is going to pay his own and 8 other players way. ETA: It's the only way they could fit Gary Harris on to the roster.
  13. More like 32. You know how those people are.
  14. I...don't agree.
  15. It sure is a surprise that you'd pick the Heat. Stunner really. Im not a Heat fan and I like this Boston team as well. I just think that LBJ and Wade will get the whistle in game 6 and then win game 7 at home. If Bosh recovers more and plays more of the game, his ability to hit from 16-18 feet will keep Garnet from playing rim protectpor. At least make his old body move more on D so that he cant abuse the Heat all game like he has been. So I think if the Heat win game 6 and then win an HCA game 7. Spo is a joke. I agree with all of this except for the Bosh part. I think his pt remains limited.
  16. Sveum probably believes those Egg Council creeps too.
  17. Would you rather play the Thunder or Spurs? I said shut up
  18. Everyone shut up talking like the series is over.
  19. But you're a college senior with no place else to go. You want to risk haggling over 30K, when the team can haggle down their other underslot guys to get themselves under 5% over cap?
  20. Regarding the 40% rule, with some cribbing from BTF, it looks like the 15 days to offer a contract is still out there. So if you can't get these underslot guys to sign for less than 40% within 15 days, you're pretty much forced to offer him 40% or lose him. ETA: It's more like 30 days (warning after 15 days, then 15 days after the warning to offer a contract)
  21. I read on BTF that you can sign a player for less than 40% only if he agrees to it, otherwise you have to offer at least that. Screwy language that seems unenforceable.
  22. Herp derp, never mind then. How would fans collude to drive ticket prices below market value? Specifically, how would we assign the tickets if price isn't the mechanism? The whole group would have to agree not to pay above X where X is less than some would pay on the open market. Works better when you have a population of 32 and no antitrust concerns. Sounds like fraud to me.
