  1. Considering this current 1-12 pace puts them at 25-137, I don't quite understand why we're being so generous.
  2. Prior suffered from being smarter (academically speaking)than nearly everyone he dealt with. I'd be incredibly frustrated with fishing metaphors and Hendry idiocy if I was him too.
  3. This never would've happened if Jim Hendry were still in charge.
  4. Yea. I think it was pretty much a non-answer. The article mentioned keeping their options open (trading him), so it was pretty much a non-answer. JIMMY WOULDN'T DO THAT
  5. These are probably my favorite types of quotes in these pinata articles/posts. I feel like it happens more with KenPom probabilities, oh yeah where's your math now tough guy???? You said there was a 68% chance of them winning, but they didn't win did they? Only 68% off there nerd
  6. Sam Fuld basically said Jim Hendry and the Cubs minor league instructors were a bunch of neanderthals.
  7. What? Absolutely not. ETA: And just saw Hughes is a free agent the same time as Garza. That is a hilariously bad deal.
  8. K, now I wish we traded Ray Allen. [expletive], he's been worthless.
  9. It makes sense though because Miami doesn't complain to officials.
  10. [expletive] ridiculous.
  11. That's like thinking the Garza trade was a mistake at the start of last season because of the hot start that Fuld got off to. Except Sam Fuld might still be in the majors in 3 years. He isn't even in the majors right now. Yeah, they'll probably have to remove his hand.
  12. No-Hitters on their own are a statistical anomaly. Taking a cursory glance, I'm not sure run environment makes much of a difference. You're working so far on the margins when it comes to them, that a league average BA being 10 points lower barely even registers.
  13. League average in NL is a .250 BA, the Cubs are at .244. They also never walk and rarely sacrifice (maximizing the number of PA per game that are ABs)
  14. That's like thinking the Garza trade was a mistake at the start of last season because of the hot start that Fuld got off to. Except Sam Fuld might still be in the majors in 3 years.
  15. There is literally never a decent chance a team gets no-hit.
  16. Seriously, this bet, it's terrible bet.
  17. They're still not even on pace to lose 100 games through pythag. It's not going to happen.
  18. How the hell did you get this information together?
  19. Considering Len & Bob don't call postseason games, the regular season is all that matters. Yeah well...still room to go up...like when the Cub Network or whatever it will be called is launched. Edit: HA! Bob does. We're both asses for not knowing, but the information benefits me. I'm relatively sure IG was being sarcastic. Considering your point is how great it'll be to have them on the national stage when the Cubs are good, it's pretty silly to act like Brenly calling games with Vasgergian or whoever will be a big deal for him.
  20. Considering Len & Bob don't call postseason games, the regular season is all that matters.
  21. And I completely forgot Alfredo Francisco existed.
  22. This is going to be depressing isn't it? [expletive] YOU KYLE
  23. This is going to be depressing isn't it?
