  1. I'm an unabashed death joke lover and Isiah Thomas hater.
  2. This guy's name is seriously [expletive] Barrett Browning??
  3. Dempster is [expletive] killing us again.
  4. Dempster at 12.5M for 2013 is worth far more than a "small return" Yeah Kyle has lost his mind apparently I guess we'll see. I predict Dempster is a Dodger by the deadline, and the Cubs don't get back anyone with better than a marginal case to be in our top-15 prospects. I predict you're hilariously wrong unless we get somebody back who has lost prospect status.

  6. "[expletive], WHY AM I STUCK WITH THIS TALENTED PITCHER?!?! OH, WOE IS ME." Are you really that clueless or just trolling? Who the [expletive] cares how talented is. A. He's not going to be around when this teams competitive. B. This team needs to be building for the future and acquiring as much young talent as it can. It's not rocket science. We need to turn him into multiple talented pitchers that will be around for when we are competitive, that's what I think most of us would prefer. It's impossible a 28-year-old pitcher will be around when they're next competitive? Don't be ridiculous. Management has given every indication they weren't planning on having him around. Every indication, including talking an extension with him?

We need to turn him into multiple talented pitchers that will be around for when we are competitive, that's what I think most of us would prefer. MATT GARZA IS YOUNG TALENT
  8. Ozzie is a horrible human being.
  9. Maybe if Mojo played baseball at some terrible D3 college he'd understand.
  10. It's easy to hit when you're not in a slump because then you're hitting so you're not in a slump, but if you aren't hitting it would be hard to hit, because then you'd be in a slump and not hitting.
  11. You know what the best part about this weird crusade against me regarding Mark Trumbo is? The entirety of my argument about Trumbo in the offseason was that I didn't think his OBP would ever come around. Neely thought it would because he put up a 368 in the PCL
  12. doesn't have to be the centerpiece, but you have a ml ready player, and a couple of AA pitchers and that could be a solid deal. of course you thought trumbo for marmol was awful. He really should've seen Trumbo going from .254/.291/.477 with 29 HR in 149 games to .307/.359/.611 with 27 HR in 90 games. He was steadily improving year by year from 192-768
  13. I don't know. He has sort of burned bridges with ATL by expressing the desire to go to LA instead. A trade to Atlanta now seems like it would be pretty uncomfortable for him. I remember how lustily Fred McGriff was booed in Chicago.
  14. I believe they have to notify the athletic department in some manner. O'Brien said only a few coaches (Ferentz, Marrone, O'Leary) have personally called to notify him that they were speaking with PSU players. Freakin Dantonio
  15. The weird thing is that Neely has been concluding his posts with this thought...after getting worked up during the previous paragraph about Stewart.
  16. Oh man, Peter Bourjos as the centerpiece for Matt Garza could not be more of a Jim Hendry trade.
  17. This is quickly turning into a discussion around what Dempster can/can't do! http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/427504_10101775680493870_222904752_n.jpg
  18. Good luck getting a new contract without a head, [expletive].
  19. Why? Dempster was within his rights to torpedo the trade. He exercised those rights. How can you support punishing some one that has done nothing wrong? He's well within his rights to nix the trade (which he has yet to). He's well within his rights to lie and mislead his employers too, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve flack for it. Is sitting him the rest of the year flack or punishment? Seriously, I'm ticked off that Dempster hasn't agreed to the trade, but when employees are given rights you have to expect them to exercise them from time to time. And you shouldn't expect that the employee is punished when they do so. You don't sit him. You leave him in there for 130+ pitches the rest of the way. YEAH THAT'S A GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
