Not if every team is flush with money like they appear to be. I don't think everybody is going to be willing to go at that new tax guns blazing. Even the Yankees and Red Sox are looking to pare down before the penalties hit. Most teams aren't close to the luxury tax ceiling. -

Finally the Grabow trade starts paying dividends. -
So [expletive] pissed. That [expletive] town of Shreveport better get leveled by Isaac. We now play 12 straight weeks, including a 6-game stretch where 5 of the games are on the road. As if it wasn't going to be tough enough this season. What the hell? There could have been several other options to postponing the game until our only open date in October. And the LA Tech AD has admitted that poor ticket sales was part of their decision to postpone the game. And yes, I'm irrationally pissed that I have to wait an extra 9 days for my football season to start. I thought the FCS season didn't start until next weekend.

I just don't understand what Roth thought was going to happen that would have allowed him to play a 5th year. I mean Austin Etherington is only going to get accidentally crushed by a bus to make room for a guy like Gary Harris, not Matt Roth. Sounds like trouble for Etherington.

He also has a career 396 OBP in 272 PAs from the 7 spot. He also has a career 382 OBP over 2212 minor league PAs where he was unlikely to have been batting in front of a pitcher.

No, I said he can slot into his spot, but needs to get his velo back and innings up. Not really sure why you'd think that meant immediately whatsoever. Maybe I should have worded that a bit differently but it's not close to even being the first time I've mentioned him and figure most know he's coming off TJS and won't be doing much this year. At any rate, that's not what SSR is talking about, he's disputing the talent. And he's just wrong. ESPN's write up put his ceiling as a #3 starter.
