I guess we'll just wait until there's an actual good FA market in 2018 to start trying. In the meantime Mmmmmmmm draft budget...
  2. SouthSideRyan
You said 2 years ago that Soriano wasn't worth the league minimum.

At that point, I'd just rather put Vitters in. Casey McGehee has been sub replacement the previous 2 years. I wouldn't bring him in to dance for nickels.

Why do you want them to win these games? 100 losses is an arbitrary number that impacts their future in no way. Draft slot and IFA money is an actual thing that will be impacted (however slightly) by the results of this game. I hope we [expletive] never stop losing. Soooo much draft money

lol, I believe I said they can go 1-5 on the road trip and still have a good shot of sweeping the Astros, not sure how you got "The Rockies series will be easy" out of that. Also, its the first game of the trip you buzzkill. You're focusing on the wrong reason that that post is stupid. Is it the "Aramis fan wrote" part?

    I got money on Soul.

Shouldn't it matter that Hak-Ju Lee isn't any good? Well they'd just hang up if we asked for Chirinos back, so we have to take what we can get. YES YES YES YES YES

Man, you really do excuse everything Seahawks. I mean, I've spent the morning arguing this was at least an somewhat defensible call, but the Tate PI was blatant and obvious. I didn't see any PI on that play. Not on Seattle at least. Tate clearly pushed Shields to the ground. We must've been watching 2 different games. Looked like a football play to me.

Yeah, I may never watch football again. You have broken my heart NFL. Broken my heart.

Eh, it really was horrible. But it will now be debated and debated for days with every piece of detail put on the screen to a level that would not normally be done. Good, now ESPN can talk for the next 3 days about a game between 2 mediocre teams rather than focusing on actual important stuff like MLB playoffs

By the time the players hit the ground, which is when possession is determined, both players had the ball. Simultaneous catch goes to the offense. Unless I'm misunderstanding the rule. Putting one hand on the ball doesn't mean Tate "had the ball". I've seen him make one handed catches before
  14. SouthSideRyan
    Because that's what happened.
  15. SouthSideRyan
And by "sweep", you mean lose all 3, correct? No, I like when my team wins.
  16. SouthSideRyan
Seriously, I do not. The integrity of the league is at stake, and the owners are throwing their own product under the bus. It's insanity. Next week it could very well be your favorite team, so don't let your team bias affect you. This is terrible, for everyone. THE NFL IS SERIOUS BUSINESS. LIVES ARE AT STAKE HERE
  17. SouthSideRyan
I hope they miss the playoffs by 9 games.

Can't do a 2012 draftee Think you can include one as a PTBNL Has to be resolved within 6 months, and it never happens because then you have your prospect sitting in another team's farm system, under their control for half the season.

    Can't do a 2012 draftee
  20. SouthSideRyan
Underrated in this thread is Soul's moral outrage at the NFL and how it is ruining the fabric of American culture.
  21. SouthSideRyan
make the CORRECT call you mean I had the game on mute, and haven't had a chance to read online, are people actually trying to say that was the wrong call? Geez, no limit to a Packers fan's homerism I guess.
  22. SouthSideRyan
Took a lot of guts to make that call in the situation. I applaud these officials.
  23. SouthSideRyan
I think the HFA is just for this year
  24. SouthSideRyan
    Sweep these motherfuckers.
  25. SouthSideRyan
No, Cincinnati made that. And it will be the last trophy they celebrate with this year. Oh, ok.
