  1. 9-9 will any team without a disaster non con in. 8-10 would get quite a few in. With iu, um, osu, and msu every team should have at least 6 losses they can write off
  2. Rank Scott Baker, Scott Feldman and Brandon McCarthy.
  3. 2 Years $15.5mm, reportedly. what the [expletive] guys
  4. Are you gonna be around after Saban teabags you guys? That ought to be a penalty of some sort.
  5. They have King Felix, Tijuana Walker, and I think 1-2 more really good pitching prospects. We can forget about any of them for DeJesus. noted Just FYI. I'm interested in who else we can forget about for DeJesus
  6. Dave Hart is announcing at 2:30 today that he's happy with Tennessee being nationally irrelevant for 3-5 more years. Seems a bit premature to pan the hiring. Especially when Gruden is still out there as a candidate.
  7. Rich Kotite is tanned rested and ready.
  8. How about we change the word filter so I never have to read the words Jeff Francouer again
  9. Fujikawa Vogelbach Jackson
  10. If you never listened to the B-Squared guys, you missed out a bit. They were actually very good. There's a reason they've both moved on to bigger things. Yes, and hopefully the DuCross brothers are dead.
  11. Somebody needs to back up the truck.
  12. Theo traded Nomar and Manny at the deadlines in years the Red Sox were going for it. I'm guessing that wasn't his plan 8 months prior.
  13. Nope, it's at Gonzaga. We were in Seattle a couple years ago.
  14. Coach of the #1 team that started the year unranked and widely believed hugest draft pick TE win awards? More pro-ND bias obviously. Can't be merit. Why isn't Eifert considered ND's best player? Because he's a TE
  15. That's not so much because of some grand conspiracy as because the Heisman has been ESPNized. Almost every year now someone wins by a gigantic margin because ESPN has taken to spending the last month or so of the season pimping somebody as the front-runner. The only times in recent years that haven't brought a giant margin are years like 2009 where literally no one stands out at all (except Suh, who was robbed, but whatever). Suh stands a good example of a much more dominant college player who couldn't reach the top three in the heisman. But Te'o is being held back because of the anti-ND bias. Right. NEBRASKA WAS [expletive] 9-4
  16. I'm new around these parts, so I'm gonna take a guess for fun... Rich Hill or Felix Pie? Eric Patterson
  17. Well it's a good thing fielding doesn't matter at all, because then they look much further apart than they actually are. Barney's transition to SS isn't a slam dunk
  18. The gap between Cabrera and Barney isn't that much when you have the former for 2 years and the latter for 4... I guess, but that's expecting the Diamondbacks to put an awful lot of faith in defensive metrics. Do they put any faith in defense period?
  19. Yeah, I think the Red Sox are in trouble. But at least they're spending, you guys. This is as tedious as anything Kyle has ever posted.
  20. That's a bit much.
  21. I'm pretty sure they've improved more than that. Healthy seasons from Pedroia and Ellsbury (if they keep them) should also help. Still need SP though. If they improve significantly more than that it's because players bounced back and stayed healthy, not because of the deals they signed. The Victorino contract is bad, but God what an awful post this is. These contracts are bad because the Red Sox have players who are likely to bounce back and be healthier therefore if they're good, it's because of that and not because of the decent to good players they signed as free agents.
  22. 1. I don't pay enough attention to know who anyone's teams are outside of a few people. The ND/Big 10 lovers are all jumbled together in my mind since there are so many of you here. I do know that SSR has a huge hard on for me, for some unknown reason. 2. Plays with integrity? WTF does that even mean? The Heisman "annually recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity." Straight from the horse's mouth. If you don't like it, take it up with them. Lol, this may be the first time that anybody has actually cared about the playing with integrity clause in the Heisman mission statement. Within the last 10 years, the Heisman has been won by Cam Newton, Troy Smith and Reggie Bush. Did I miss the Troy Smith scandal?
