Didn't the Padres do something shady like sign him to a $3-4M deal and then cut him in spring training so they didn't have to pay him? It wasn't really shady. They were allowed to cut him and pay him out 1/6 of his salary. He caught on with the As shortly after that sucked for a month and was released

To be fair Northwestern had the 2nd lowest Steal% in the nation ahead of only Quinnipiac. And I would have handed the ball to the Northwestern defender on that 1.2 second in bound pass. He'd take all his time trying to corral it and wouldn't have a chance of getting off a shot.

Matt Cassel had 33 pass attempts at USC and got drafted Right, but he exhausted his eligibility. Cardale isn't turning pro early to be a 7th rounder. I brought this up last week. The local radio show asked Adam Schefter what the chances of him going pro were, and Schefter didn't even know Cardale's name, and said that he had heard no NFL people talking about him at all (and this was after the Sugar Bowl). Maybe tonight changes things, we'll see Well that reflects really poorly on Schefter

Have you been watching the game? I know, total blowout city Oregon's been moving the ball just fine as usual. 2 big 3rd down drops have killed them. Hopefully they give them the bonus points they deserve for that.
