    I've argued the same thing in the past. Seems to me, you get a lot more chances to throw LF to home/2nd than you do RF to home/3rd/2nd. Cause and effect though. Is that because there are more opportunities, or are there more opportunities because the weaker arm is traditionally in LF and the stronger in RF? To the same effect, plays where a guy easily scores/advances on the weak armed guy are going to have a play on them with the strong armed guy. My thought on it is based on my assumption that LF is getting more action than RF, and therefore would have more chances at making the throws.

    Decided not to trade is typically code for waiting for the last minute offers to fly in just before the deadline. Cincy without any major moves is destined to maintain their level of mediocrity. I think Cinci is slowly becoming the worst run team in baseball. Pirates get contracted?

    Don't remember seeing this posted in minor league forum, but who's eligible for Rule 5 next year that may be at risk of being drafted if not rostered? I'm thinking with the depth of our system, that there may not be anybody out there, but just something to consider.

    Thats impossible as I'm pretty sure a PTBNL cannot be on the 25-man roster when a trade is made. Hmm, so that means it can't be anyone on the DL? My understanding is that if you are on the ML DL you are ON the 25 man roster (ie collecting ML service time), but you don't count AGAINST the 25 man roster. Also, are you sure its at the time of the trade, or just when the trade is completed. I thought it was that you couldn't trade anyone from the same league, but say you optioned a guy down to the minors and then named him as the PTBNL, technically you'd be trading him from a different league. And yes, I know, Duke is a pipe dream. I miss Mark Peel. It can be be a player on the DL.
